I don't think they will 'gradually return' at all, not the local support, maybe the ones who watch games in the US or Australia might not be too bothered

Heard it all before mate but if the goals go flying in they will return all right.
The big issue with us overseas is that we have only the pathetic Radio Humberside commentary although there are a few 'streams' where we can get the occasional telecast. We are used to teams being referred to by their nick-names (like the USA) of "The Maggies", "The Hawks" etc and the Rugby teams have also done it for years.

I really don't think so. Don't care if the club wins the Champions League - if it's called Hull Tigers I will be having nothing to do with it. And there are plenty more of us with the same stance out there.

It won't happen anyway. If Hull City goes than I will, its not a case of balls with me, Hull City is my team not Hull 'insert nonsense made-up name'

I know little about them myself other than they're now my home town team and were promoted to the Conference National the season before last. Problem is Guiseley FC, (from the town I grew up in and occasionally went to watch many years ago) were finally promoted to the Conference last season. So I kind of have split loyalties there. Still, makes a suitable distraction should the unthinkable name change happen.

You mean 'some' will return. You'd probably be right.

This poster won't tho, regardless of name change. The Allams and fans like patty and tigers2008 can **** off.

I would have gone back once the Allams had gone, had the fans stuck by each other. But the minority of Allam Arselicking fans might still be there in the future. Yuk.

As I've already bought my season ticket (as has my brother) I'll be going, I plan on doing all 46 games (fingers crossed). I'm giving my backing to the lads on the pitch because they're the most important, but I really don't want the name to change. If it does, I'm not really in a position to boycott something I've just spent £500 odd quid on, I'll just be really, really pissed off. If there are any marches or vocal complaints, such as the CTID chant, I'll be right behind it. If I boycott the games, it won't get the message to Allam that I, Sterling Archer, do not want the name changed. He just sees me as a number, if the attendance is one less that expected, will he ring me up and ask where I was? Of course not. But if I can be part of the protest, provided it doesn't stop me watching my team, I will.

Nope. Those that try to create additional situations also need to look hard at themselves when it comes to causes of disharmony between fans, as do those that prefer not to listen to opinions that oppose theirs.

Well, I can only speak for myself.

There's only one cause of me taking my pass back, arguing with should-be fellow fans, hating should-be fellow fans, ranting on here and never going to watch my club again.

    That cause is the Allams.

There literally is no other cause.

I would say not as well. There is a reason the Trust lost a 1000 members from ctwd. There is a suspicion about the Trust that the Trust is doing nothing to dispel.

Precisely. For others, there are more reasons. Ignoring them does nothing to help, and something to hinder.

You say yourself that you're arguing with fellow fans. We've seen on this board that there are occasions when the disuptes turn out to be none Allam related, despite the initial claims.

Make no mistake, I'm against the name change, but sometimes it's a case of reading between the lines.

Fair enough. What do you think the 'more reasons' are? Not being snarky, just asking.

I said I wouldn't renew until I knew the outcome of the name change - due to the FA poncing about I've had the option to buy taken out of my hands, it's no real problem. If the name remains the same I've decided to do away games only. Last season, listening to fans booing each other, North Stand fans abusing West stand fans, I've finally come to the conclusion I've had enough of the KC and it's toxic atmosphere.

Should the name change, that'll be me finished (and **** you TigerRoo, the prick who thinks I'll change if Hull Tigers score goals, the objectionable **** him) - I'd like to be able to shrug my shoulders and say ''it's only a name'', but I can't - the coming season should be my 50th anniversary of watching City, should the worse come to the worse, I'll be gutted to miss it, but, I've done my bit for the Humber Bridge debt and I'll be happy getting my football fix closer to home at Brigg or Winterton.

There are a host of reasons that are adding to fans disharmony. If anything, there seems to be a lack of desire to actually unite fans behind the actual problems.

Other 'fans' generating problems, seemingly to keep the ill feeling and disputes going is one significant one that creates disharmony amongst fans, as well as suspicion. A lack of places where 'open' discussion can take place does similar. On here, anyone pointing out an alternative view just seems to be subject to childish name calling, and the threads get disrupted.

There should be clear open discussion, and fans should feel that their opinion and input is valued and considered by the club and supporters groups alike.

As an example of how unity could have been helped rather than hindered, I've mentioned a few times, the name change is currently rejected, but our proper name isn't used. I would have expected a good discussion on here on ways to deal with that. That's just one example that could have helped people feel involved.
