Oh FFS - PC gone mad; think some people have far too much time on their pathetic little hands! Seems there will always be someone taking offense at anything, no matter how innocuous!! Just wish they would channel some of this outraged energy into addressing the true injustices in the world rather than pouncing on every tweet or status that differs from their pathetically skewed view of the world!

Throughout the world people are being suppressed, tortured, killed; but these sad little keyboard warriors go into a hissy fit over the BBC using the words mother and daughter. These 'right on' liberal lefties highlight much of what is wrong with the UK - up in arms about trivia but not got the bottle to get involved in the real issues facing the world today! F**kin morons!

 

Can I just say that you politically saying it's the left wing only doing this undermines what you are saying cartoon. People whether right or left wing go out of their way to be offended, and since platforms like Facebook and Twitter have come about that it's got worse.

I would say that in the last 5-6 years that it's got to endemic proportions this correctiveness, and a lot of it comes from people to lazy and ignorant to do anything constructive

 

P C Sucks. Im sure he meant no harm as proved in the papers today of some of the ladies doing just that........at home with their kids....the rest are ****ing Lesbians... only joking......

 

Aren't some of them partners and mothers and all of them will be daughters, what is wrong with that. The PC brigade gone ****ing mad again.

 

When I was a kid we had goliwogs on the jam pots, we used to collect them goliwogs, but I have been informed that you can no longer use the word goliwogs, off the point a bit, but I never saw anything nasty in them goliwogs on the jam pots.

 

We used too save the tokens then send them away for a golliwog badge.

 

One of the daftest PC intervention was many years ago.......Remember the slogan...."put a tiger in your tank" The PC brigade complained about that.. As if people would try and do that....there are many stupid and waste of time things you cant say or do because of these idiots. Another one was we had to change a bathroom detergent JIF to CIF because JIF is a swear word apparently in another country.....Has anyone like me who have traveled the world seen countless products and signs that could be swear words in our country.....we just laugh and take photos of them and not inform the PC brigade........not that these countries would give a **** what the PC said anyway...... I hate PC...

 

Just to change thing, now for as long as I can remember the 3rd, 4th place playoff was always declared as a pointless game by the English media, now all of a sudden they have won the bronze medal. Has that always been or have the English media hyped this up.

 

People who try to be politically correct are moral cowards in my book. .The BBC are great at it and try to be so politically correct they are in danger of being politically incorrect. The one amusing me at the moment is Masterchef where the actress contestants are referred to as actors which of course is the male gender.

 

I stand corrected Jager and you are absolutely right - PC has no political boundaries and infects every part of society.
