I don't think even the men could lose like that. Sickener in football terms. Played really well against what I thought was a technically superior Japanese team. Alas the ball didn't fall for us.
Kolbeinn Sigþórsson has tranfered from Ajax to FCNantes. He cost ÍSK450 000 000 or GBP2 170 000. A bargain for a player like Kolbeinn special when compared to young English players. http://www.mbl.is/sport/fotbolti/2015/07/02/kolbeinn_buinn_ad_skrifa_undir_hja_nantes/
1st ever win against the Germans. Another solid display against the top ranked side and took our chance when it came.
Indeed. They held their nerve, won the penalty, survived the mind games and closed the match out. Very professional.
I thought to post this as I did not exactly know the answers. The first is from the Premier leagues own FAQ page and the second was digging. What is a squad list? Each Premier League club submits a squad list, after the summer transfer windows closes. It can contain no more than 17 players who do not fulfil 'Home Grown Player' criteria. The remainder of the squad, up to a total of 25 players, must be home grown. Changes to the squad list may be made during the period of a transfer window. Under-21 players are eligible, over and above the limit of 25 players. Each player is assigned a squad number, which they wear during Premier League games. Squad lists are announced in early September. This leads to what is a home grown player? (http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/features/home-grown-quota-for-premier-league.html) A Home Grown player will be defined as one who, irrespective of his nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to the Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons or 36 months prior to his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21).
Where does this boy think he will stop? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33440826 Put him in the reserves till he learns some respect and humility.
