O'Shea has done ok overall, I think.

Brown has the most quality I've ever seen in a Sunderland defender, shame we barely ever seen him!

I would say after Bent and of course Catts these were probably Bruces best signings

I wish JOS wasn't here but we'd have been relegated without him, Arsenal away was unreal.

Dead to rights. Ever-present except for the last couple of games so about 150 games where he has done a good job, the ones where he didn't we won't mention.

Brown is still the best cb we have at the club. Oshea is ****e, but overall has been a good signing for us...

It's the Virgini's of this world you have to worry about.

    Nowt like a non-contradictory sentence... And that's nowt like a non-contradictory sentence!

O'Shea gained more points than he cost last season. I reckon he'll be coaching here once playing days are over

More than likely why he was given that given a two year extension to his contract, he has alot to offer in that field.

It does appear contradictory. But what I meant was, in footballing ability, oshea is ****e. But his leadership skills and organisation have been good for us.

In other words, we have a **** player who keeps us organised at the back. IMO.

JOS was never good enough for us, he's got a great game in him but rarely does that ever come out. He used to love the RB position for us, when G Neville was injured, but he just went to **** as soon as he crossed the half way line, attempting to whip Beckham-esque crosses in from just inside the oppo half. Trouble is, they usually just got spooned and ended up going out for a throw in.

Brown on the other hand, well you'd have never been given the opportunity to sign him if he wasn't a crock. Him and Woodgate would have dominated that England back line for years if they weren't crocks, what a shame that they both had so many injury issues.

I think he came on to play in midfield that game, I remember Silvestre got sent off and we fetched on both O'Shea and Brown in that game, Ronaldo pulled Arsenal to pieces.

Look at his face, he can barely believe he pulled it off, he must have thought '**** it I'll just have a go'.
