The radio comment read more like they were just repeating the original gossip.

Chattering fishwives seem to have taken the place of decent information and facts.

This is what they said yesterday...

    BBC Humberside Sport ‏@HumbersideSport
Sources close to #hcafc tell us the Premier League have offered backing to the name-change proposal but did so before they were relegated.

Aye, it's posted elsewhere and seems to just repeat the original gossip.

    Yes here:

Oh you meant actual proof anything to do with this came from the club?

Nah, just the usual ****wits and their obsession.

I hope that's a sign you're starting to see the light on the gossipy dross from the fishwives.

True. And to the routine, once the gossip fails, feeble attempts at personal abuse starts.

Sad, dull and predictable ain't it.

You think a preference for facts is to be sneered at overy promoting something most accept as pure bullshit?

    Seriously? Again?

It would seem there might be something in this fishwife stuff after all (You can Google the PDF if you really wish to :emoticon-0103-cool: ) :

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(ARTICLE in SIGNS JOURNAL OF WOMEN IN CULTURE AND SOCIETY · MARCH 2012)

The Multiple Identities of Early Modern Dutch Fishwives
    Danielle van den Heuvel

Throughout the centuries early modern Dutch women have inspired a
    great variety of writers...

... Whereas some authors focus on the ubiquity of women in economic
life and label their independence as heroic and entrepreneurial,
others concentrate on the dominant position of women within the household,
depicting Dutch women as bossy housewives obsessed with cleaning
    (Schama 1991; Kloek 2004).
A similar, albeit slightly different paradox arises from the portrayals of
one specific group of early modern Dutch women: female fish sellers.
Dutch fishwives are regularly portrayed as troublemakers, constantly engaging

in scolding and fighting. Historical evidence shows that in the early

modern period Dutch towns regularly issued stipulations in order to re-
duce disorderly behavior by women in the fish market; for instance, in

Amsterdam in the 1620s and 1630s, the local government ordered that

female fish sellers were to be fined when they verbally or physically attacked

other fishwives (Noordkerk 1748; van Dillen 1929). Fishwives were also

seen as rowdy women who threatened the public order of the society at

    large.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So we have it, there is a deep-set, historical precedence in Dutch dogs, of the fishwife variety, being unruly and anti-social - but were they exiled to the mountains? Who knows, who cares, it's just idle chit-chat. <whistle>

Lots of words, no real content and **** all to do with the topic at hand.

Little need to look to see who posted it. :emoticon-0113-sleep

Abuse? You are really getting too tender and easily offended for life on a forum.; you're taking yourself a tad too seriously in your vendetta against OLM.
