So at the end of play today, Alderweireld has had about 14 medicals, only for his Dad to say that nothing is near being done with any club, to Saints launching a last ditch £14m bid, to Alderweireld now agreeing personal terms with us... I'm just waiting for Chelsea to announce his signing!
I’m sure Chelsea’s waiting for him to have his medical just as impatiently as we are. As you say, if reports are to be believed, he must have been getting medicals all day yesterday and then again all day today. If only we lived in an age when people were likely to have cameras, we could hope to have one picture. One group of reports, led by the Guardian, are insisting it is all over but the shouting, while others claim that nothing has been settled, and that Alderweireld could wind up at Southampton or points unknown. Somebody will have some ’splainin’ to do. Or would, if anyone felt the slightest compunction about publishing complete bullshit.
Lots of sources and ITKs all claiming Alderweireld is a done deal and will be announced tomorrow. There's also a rumour (off topic) that we'll be hearing about the new stadium and a deal with the NFL tomorrow as well.

Holtby to Hamburg is now a perm deal, fee between £4.5m - £6m according to different sources. Paul to Guangzhou for £9.9m. Capoue to Watford for £6m. (Stambouli could possibly follow). Bentaleb and Winks have signed new long term deals (2020 and 2018 with additional year). Alderweireld is undergoing his 37th medical with us today, once completed he'll take photos in a Spurs shirt and then undergo his 38th medical to ensure the flashing lights from the cameras haven't harmed his eyes. According to a bit of inside chat, an announcement may be made today in regards to a partnership with the NFL which I think ties in with future stadium plans.
Kristof Terreur was the journo who I think got sniff of the Chadli deal long before any English media did and he seems pretty confident about Alderweireld judging by recent tweets:

I did try to tell those Saints lads. In the end, I think that the prospect of playing so many of his fellow compatriots, going into the Euros, was the deciding factor.
