Sometimes players develop an almost telepathic understanding with a team mate. Obviously Brown and O'Shea; Larsson and Gardner; arrive with good knowledge of each others game but which other pairings do you anticipate will benefit from playing with each other.

There's been lots of positive chat from Sess and Gyan about.. well.. Sess and Gyan. So that could develop well, depending on how often Bruce plays Sess just off the striker.

I'd love to see Catts and Gardner form an epic CM pairing, Catts dropping back and Gardner pressing on.. Crucial, crunching tackles leading to telepathic passes and blistering long-range goals. Brilliant. Could they develop so well together that Fabio takes an interest?! (disclaimer: obviously he won't)

I think Sess and Gyan, and Whickham and Gyan.

Sessand Gyan, as they are both flair players, and i think they'll make good runs off eachother, and Whickham will learn a lot from Gyan's movement, as well as Gyan benefitting from his physical presence.

Gardners bursts forward should fit well for whoever gets the nod in the holding role, freeing up space as a man has to track his run.

*** EDIT We're on the same wavelength there stu ;)

Does anyone think we could try Sess as an out & out striker with Gyan?

Maybe dropping back when we lose posession.

Haha yeah BB I definitely read that and thought I had gone mad and my replies weren't posting! :)

I'd love to see Wickham/Gyan develop but if Bruce is planning on using Sess behind lone Gyan in some games, and we bring in the Defoe/Pogrebnyak/Rodellega type experienced striker to play with Gyan when playing two-up, then Wickham and Gyan might not get much game time together?

Oh **** yeah I forgot about that! Abandon ship on the England calls! Knowing our luck (/Fabio's selections) he'd convince them to both move to Wolves to further their chances and then he'd come up anyway to look at Danny Simpson and Nile Ranger..

Even if this is the case mate, i guarantee they'll be pairing up in training, getting that bond all the good strike forces have.

I'm really excited about the 2 of them, they look like an 'out of the box' pair, with contrasting skills.

I hope this proves to be the case!

    Chunky,

I think it's nailed on we'll see Sess up top a few times, especially early doors.

If we get Lennon from Spurs I think we should keep McCartney n'all.

What about CB's, (breaker, breaker, 10-4 good buddy)?

O'Shea will deffo be in if they gonna make him captain. But who pairs up with him?

    Turner or Tightarse?

The two tee's were solid enough last season until the cacka hit the cooling device with the injuries.

Which one do we leave out?

On a serious note, I would like to try Turner with O'shea first.
Just think Titus is an accident waiting to happen.

    Titus for me.

I like Turner, a very good defender, brave, committed, SAFC traits.

Titus is a lot more comfortable on the ball though, and his distribution is solid for a defender, on this basis, he gets the nod, nowt in it though.

I just think he was lucky - a bit like Nos.

BUT, Bruce - a v good center half himself - obvoiusly rates him.
