I'd imagine at some point in his life he has bought enough in England, possibly a big flash house and a big flash car, some silly jewellery for his mrs etc. that he's probably paid more in vat than most people will pay in all taxes in their lives.

Out of interest, do you live within the boundaries of Hull City Council? Are you proud of your home city?

You know it's not that simple. There are reams of rules and guidelines regarding UK residency and UK tax liability.

All of this is totally irrelevant.

There is, but as far as I'm aware he's not a UK resident, so it doesn't apply to him.

There are many different levels to this, there are UK born people who now live elsewhere and pay tax at the relevant levels in the places they live, which I see no issue with.

There are those who do business here, but pay no fax here, like Philip Green, I see a massive difference between the two.

This is why it's such a grey area. I believe he falls into the Philip Green category more than the other category. Even though he lives elsewhere and probably spends less than 90 days/year in the UK I'd guess that he still has property, business interests, as well as substantial earnings here which may make his non-UK residency status questionable. Trouble is no-one knows and he's not going to tell, understandably.

What we do know is that no-one rich emigrates to Monaco because they like the place. They do so to avoid paying tax somewhere and if that somewhere is Britain then I still think he's a bit of a ****.

Hardly surprising, brilliant weather, fantastic restaurants, great properties, who'd want to live in ****-hole like that...

I work in the Middle East ... and I have paid full tax but that is my fault that I visit Home for over the 90 days. Well last year was due to a hip replacement but this next tax year I shouldn't have to pay tax because I wont be in the UK for more than the 90 days. The worst part of this is missing my family and going to see City and all the other benefits it brings living and working at home. Is that tax evasion? or not paying my dues?

"A few bendy bits"?!?! Most people would struggle to get around that track at 40mph with no other cars on it! What do you class as a "sport"? Olympic gymnastics on jet-skis?

BSB Meeting from Knockhill was much more entertaining & the riders get a pittance compared to GP drivers, some even fund their own rides

I've done a few track days on my bike at Silverstone & to be honest it's not as difficult a circuit as Donington

No, he lives in Monaco now. He moved to Switzerland in 2007 but moved to Monaco in 2012.

They actually said on the BBC yesterday that he lived in the same building as Rosberg, not sure whether that is true or not.

Silverstone's actually been a fairly boring circuit to watch GP's at for a while, I wish they'd give Brands Hatch another chance, that circuit is a proper test, Silverstone is too safe nowadays, you won't see epic performances like Keke Rosberg averaging 200MPH around the whole circuit anymore like in the 80's

    Hmm
I don't think I'd class that as a sport either...but I'd be prepared to give the Women's World Cup of jet skiing gymnasts a watch
I'm not completely sure on my definition, but off the top of my head anything which requires engine power isn't a sport...I can't justify that, but I don't need to because it's my head

So you would consider Darts & Snooker to be sports ??

For me a sport requires the competitor to require a high level of physical training & fitness........

Have you ever experienced the levels of fitness required to wrestle a F1 car round a track for a couple of hours ? No me neither.....but I have experienced the level of fitness required to wrestle a high performance motorcycle round a track......I've only done track days & racing schools but I can only imagine how much training these guys need to race bikes with 50% more power than my bike .....I'm fit but 8-10 laps at my maximum ability absolutely kills me....many top bike racers are also great athletes in their own right......one local lad cycles 30 miles a day on top of gym work & a hard physical job....as well as mountain biking on a weekend when not racing
