Having made a mess of which Swans players have played in the Premier League on a different thread, I have conducted some extensive research at no extra cost to yourselves (lol). Only Premier League games have been included, not Cup games. 1) LUKE MOORE - 108 PL APPEARANCES (15 PL GOALS) Yes, the winner by a country mile is Luke Moore who made 87 PL appearances for Aston Villa, scoring 14 PL goals and 21 PL appearances for West Brom scoring once. 2) SCOTT SINCLAIR - 23 PL APPEARANCES (1 PL GOAL) Scott made 5 PL appearances for Chelsea and 18 on loan to Wigan, scoring once for Wigan. 3) TOM BUTLER - 19 PL APPEARANCES (NO GOALS) Tom Butler made his Premier League debut for Sunderland at age 19 and went on to make 19 appearances but didnât score. He has played in the same team as Kevin Phillips, Kevin Kilbane, Gavin McCann, Jason Mc Ateer, Phil Babb, Thomas Sorensen and Tore Andre Flo. 4) DAVID COTTERILL - 18 PL APPEARANCES (1 PL GOAL) As far as Iâm aware heâs still a Swansea player and Dai Cott has made 18 PL appearances for Wigan between 2006 and 2008 scoring once. 5) DANNY GRAHAM - 15 PL APPEARANCES (1 PL GOAL) Bit of a surprise for me but our Danny made 15 PL appearances for Middlesbrough between 2004 and 2007 scoring in a 2-2 draw with Charlton. He has played alongside Southgate, Zenden, Downing, Hasselbaink, Yakubu, Cattermole and Adam Johnson. 6) GARRY MONK - 11 PL APPEARANCES (NO GOALS) Our glorious leader made 11 PL appearances for Southampton between 1998 and 2003. They included a 2-1 win over Man Utd and 1-7 defeat to Liverpool. He has played alongside Matt Le Tissier, James Beattie, Matt Oakley, Wayne Bridge, Kevin Davies and Marian Pahars. 7) CRAIG BEATTIE - 7 PL APPEARANCES (1 PL GOAL) Craig made 7 PL appearances for West Brom in the 2008/9 season scoring in a 2-0 win over Tottenham. He has scored other goals for WBA but they were in the Championship. He also made 50 appearances for Celtic in the SPL scoring 13 times. 8) DARREN PRATLEY - 1 PL APPEARANCES (NO GOALS) I know heâs not with us any more but Darren made one appearance for Fulham as an 18-year-old in 2003 in a 1-3 deafeat to Charlton. OTHER INTERESTING SNIPPETS In September 1998, Mark Gower (as a 19-year-old) played for Tottenham in both legs of a League Cup Tie against Brentford. In the Tottenham team was David Ginola, Sol Campbell and Darren Anderton. In March 2005, Danny Graham (as a 19-year-old) played in both legs of a UEFA cup tie for Middlesbrough against Sporting Lisbon. The Portuguese side won 4-2 on aggregate. In August 2007, Scott Sinclair (age 18) came on as a sub for Joe Cole in the Community Shield. It was Chelsea 1 Man Utd 1. If anyone can find someone I've left out, please let me know.
Great post, especially for those who claim we don't have any Premier league experience in the squad. 5*.
