So RVP has just agreed personal terms with Fenebache. This makes me wonder during those years when we had to sell our best players to survive. If we didn't have to sell those players how they would have developed.

Surely the likes of Clichy,Nasri and Song would have been better players if they showed more loyalty they where getting game time from Wenger a manager who has history of developing players

Not really, letting Clichy go was a good decision, he was with us long enough, and i doubt if he stayed with us he would have gotten much better, truth be told not many of us were sad to see him go because his defending was a liability at times.

Clichy was a liability defending, but great going forward. Much happier with Monreal now as he can actually defend. Song Meh. He was okay, showed some inventive play going forward, but neglected his defensive duties. Adebayor, turned into the biggest tool on the planet and ended up at Spurs who are desperate to offload him (says it all) Fabregas, had it all at Arsenal. Went tits up at Barca and now he plays for a sellout sugar daddy club with a **** for a manager. Nasri was the one who got away, he could have been an Arsenal legend. Faded away at City.

As for Van Persie, **** him. If he's really joining Fenebache then that's a massive step down from his one good season with Utd. He too could have been an Arsenal legend if he'd helped us to win the title, but he shafted us after we saved him from the scrap heap and will only now be remembered as a footnote in our history.

<laugh> yeh I bet that keeps him awake at night.

As for his one good season at United, he won a League Title ffs, more than anything Arsenal achieved while he was there. In fact the only regret RvP has is not moving sooner. That's where he really wasted his career. He gives zero fcks to being an arsenal legend.

This truth will hurt some on here but all the players mentioned have left Arsenal and gone on to bigger and better things. All careers will wane eventually but that doesnt take away from the successes they've had in the meantime going to other clubs.

All those players mentioned, bar Fabregas have turned to **** now. RVP being a prime example. So much so that you're desperately trying to offload him.

RVP himself said winning at Arsenal would feel more special and meaningful than any other club, and it would not feel as good to win with another team, so these are his own words.....At the end of the day you can win titles with other teams other than your own, but they can also turn out to be hollow.

Arsenal will win the league again one day, our future looks bright, but in the end as far as RVP goes, he will be but a footnote, when he could have been a legend.

That's pretty much it I will bet my house that he would swap both of his balls to return to arsenal but it's never gonna happen

If he was to stay He would have been a legend his name would have been immortalised but now in 30 years know one will remember him at Utd or the Arsenal

Fair play to RVP for wumming Utd with that 'gulf' comment. <laugh>

But the fact remains that when he needed Arsenal the club stuck by him. When Arsenal needed RVP he shafted us.

Exactly, in a few years time, he will be a nobody and won't be remembered and treasured as a legend at any of the clubs he played for, at United he is probably not even in their top 100 players, while at Arsenal he probably might make the top 50, but he could have been a real legend if he stayed and continued to work with a manager who developed him for years, instead he sold his soul for one PL winners medal and now is heading to bloody Turkey to play with all the other has- beens, and he is only 31 years old.

He basically left Arsenal because he was getting impatient with our situation. (as were us fans)

I think its a bad decision for Robin to go to Turkey. He may be loosing his pace but with the way he plays he could easily manage another 2-3 Seasons at the top in a no.10 role.

He should have never left Arsenal.

RVP made his choices, now he has to live with the consequences.

All those players have gone on to greater success. That's ALL they care about. Whether they turned to sh1t or not is irrelevant as they could equally have become that at Arsenal - minus the league titles.

There's no logic to what you've said. RvP is in his 30's and well past his best. The only thing he's a "prime example of" is a striker in his 30's who's best days are behind him and is naturally going to take a step down in terms of clubs. You can't blame him for that lol. The only mistake he made was not moving from Arsenal at 25 instead of 29. He would have won a lot more.

Anyway I leave you gooners to pine over your old girlfriend <whistle>

I think you've missed he point. We're saying we wouldn't have him back, not pining over anything.

Seems that you've been rattled by RVP saying he'll never win anything again with Utd so he's better off goi g to Turkey <laugh>

Where did this get posted? Seems a little dubious, in my opinion.

Perhaps you should have told Piskie, as he's been banging on about it to all and sundry as if it's real! <laugh>

He's going to be crushed when he realises it's the work of a Gooner still slighted by RVP wanting to win the league!

It doesn't matter if it's a wind up or not. It's achieved its aim of getting plenty of Manc (and surrey) knickers in a twist.
