Newcastle fan have been given a top 10 spot in the worlds best/most intense fans. This isn't just in football, this is in ALL sports in the world, Football, Ice hockey, NFL etc and considering one amateur american footbal college team has never seen a crows LESS THAN 100,000 since the 1970s, that's quite an achievement.

    Here's the link:
    http://him.uk.msn.com/in-the-know/photos.aspx?cp-documentid=155974046&page=8

Don't know if they are in order but for people that can't get on the list is:
    Philidelphia Flyers - Ice Hockey
    Liverpool Fc - Football
    Boston Red Sox - Baseball
    Man Utd - Football
    BLACKPOOL - Football
Louisiana State University Tigers - College American Football
Michigan Wolverines - College American Football
    NEWCASTLE UTD - Football
Cleveland Browns - Football & Clevelend Indians - Baseball
    Fenerbahce & Galatasaray - Football

Rather than be compiled of the biggest clubs, most fans etc etc they have been compiled of fans that seem more faithful for example blackpool have been added because:

"There are many ways to measure the intensity of fan support, but if one of them is a preparedness to travel long distances in support of your team, Blackpool may have the best fans in the Premier League.

According to a survey released earlier this season, Blackpool fans were, on average, planning to attend six of their 19 away games in 2010/2011, more than the fans of any other club, and to travel greater distances. At the other end of the scale, only one Arsenal fan in five was planning on attending any away fixtures at all."

Apparently the judges hadn't even heard of Sunderland United. <laugh>

I'm not criticising Blackpool's, but that really is a pathetic reason. In what way do Blackpool have to travel further than every other group of away fans in the Premier League? The author must be under the impression that Blackpool is on mainland Europe or something.

Also, his reason for including Newcastle is because:

Yeah, because Newcastle suffers a completely different climate to Sunderland. <doh>

LIVERPOOL?? 35K WHEN THINGS GO BAD!!

Blackpool willing to travel to away games in their first season in the premier league? Shock!!

Man Utd, cracking away support, home support is getting better but they are the biggest club in europe, or one of them, so no surprise there.

Alot of Blackpool fans aren't Blackpool fans, they are Man Utd or Liverpool etc. Just adopted Blackpool as there's teams coming here and there's grounds to go to straight from Bloomfield Road on the coach.

That's taking nothing away from the real fans that do go to home and away games week in week out though. Including Southampton away even after Holloway told them not to bother because he was putting his reserves out!!

Blackpool's middle of the country also... In what way do they travail any further then the Newcastle/Sunderland/any other team north of them to away games?

Not questioning their support, but VERY feeble reason.

They have 7 premier league clubs around them for **** sake! We have one! At least a 2 and half hour drive to the nearest one after that.

Obviously just some random guy thinking "I know what I'll do I'll pick 10 teams that I like and say they are the best 10 in the world and people will believe it"

I feel so sorry for you. Try travelling back from London after a defeat and the previous train to yours was cancelled and all the passengers have been put on your train and told to sit in their normal seats, meaning ours were taken and they weren't going to move, even though they were our seats for that train!! Fuming, got 70% of our fee back though.

    Piss off with your sarcasm.
