We should offer couple of milions more than Tottenham and eliminate them from the race. Say, 20 milion euros is still cheap to get Toby.

I'm just getting my info from Saintsweb but Sven is the journo who broke the info on the Toby loan a year ago. He must be close to toby or his agent in that case.

Atletico are apparently desperate to do what they can to get as much money as possible out of this so it wouldnt surprise me if they were the ones who leaked a story about a. agreement to the media.

I'm not getting my hopes up but i'll advise everyone on here to wait for some sort of announcement as the normal media seems to be in some sort frenzy and are getting ahead of themselves

 

This is working out perfectly for Atletico.
It seemed obvious to us that another party would be interested, but now they have the bidding war they wanted. If the Belgian journalist is correct and no fee is yet agreed then I wonder if we will go higher or just match and have faith in Toby and what he has been telling us since Christmas.

This is an intense transfer and the nerves are not helped by our media shut out and spurs loose lips.
Sounds like they're doing all the running while we have our thumbs up our ass(which of course not the case).

Personally, I think Atletcio know that Toby wants to go to us. They know we know he is keen. They are playing silly buggers with the fee because they know it will likely happen.

I still feel that the Spurs stuff is nothing more than a distraction. Probably interested, but not to the levels of the noise which is coming out regarding this. It all feels a little too planted (some of the stuff, anyway).

Well, according to reports, we are/were ready to offer Morgan 60k p/w. We've just tossed Osvaldo off the wage bill, so who knows. We probably have a fair bit of movement though. I reckon the quickness of the Osvaldo termination was relating to our potential summer business with regards to FFP etc.
