I've taken the liberty of posting on the Saints board and letting them know what's going on, as Tommo seems to be dishing out some very dodgy ITK info to the Saints lads, and I think they deserve more than that. I've also suggested that that the loan deal for Alderweireld at Saints, last season, had probably been set up by Poch before he joined us, so it's not really a surprise that the lad has decided to join us on a a permenant deal, now that he's honoured his contract with Saints. He's not stupid, and he'll know where his bread is buttered.
Lets just face it, nothing can be believed until he's holding the shirt. I'm coming round to signing Alderweireld even for a big fee, as long as he doesn't stand in the way of Dier getting plenty of games at CB in the coming season. He seems to be held in very high regard by Saints fans and he should fit into the team well. If we can recoup a good portion of the fee by selling Kaboul, Chiriches and Fazio too then it leaves us financially able to pursue targets in other positions, which is good.
