Funnel web spider, Australia The funnel web is one of Australia's deadliest animals, with a venom that is packed with at least 40 different toxic proteins. A bite from a funnel web causes massive electrical overload in the body's nervous system and deaths occur from either heart attack or a pulmonary oedema, where the capillaries around the lungs begin to leak fluid and the patient effectively drowns. Death can come as quickly as two hours after a bite if no medical treatment is sought. Due to advances in anti-venom, there has been no death from a Funnel Web bite in Australia since 1980. thats alreet then.
Personally spiders dont bother me but that Jumping Spider looks like his attitude is 'dont **** with me' - scary twat.

I hate them all, spiders, centerpedes, scorpions i'm ok with, but they still have to die..big bugs etc....yet snakes i'm ok with with...
2 weeks ago I woke up and thought I saw a Mexican tarantula (there is one in the town pet shop on Fawcett street)1 foot from my face, it was so real I jumped out of bed and moved it, but nowt there. I had not been on the special brew either !. My brother has an unbelievable spider fobia yet went to Australia on holiday.
Got a **** ton of redbacks at my house, every time i spray the roof and corners, it's like it's raining spiders. All over the ****ing floors :/ Couple of pics taken a few months ago, outside having a barbie, and these fellas decided to pop down and have a look. Safe to say, the raid got brought out and emptied onto them. When I lived in Sydney used to get the Funnel webs a fair bit, sometimes you'd find them in swimming pools.. always had to check with googles first before you went in blind haha.
A bit of a buddhist myself. I won't kill anything. Even flies are give the chance to escape before my wife gets them. Except mosquitoes! Bloody hate them!!!
