Kasper Schmeichel is overrated, if his name wasn't Schmeichel, he'd probably be playing for Harrogate Town.

Matt Mills is a good defender, but £5m is Premier League money and he's never played at that level.

Neil Danns is a good signing.

Lee Peltier was completely hopeless when he played for us, he looked decent for the Udders, but that was in League One.

Paul Konchesky looked **** last season, but has looked decent in previous season, so potentially could again.

Sean St.Ledger was never a £4.5m centre half, he signed for Preston for £225k and he's not as good as Hobbs.

David Nugent was good a Preston five years ago, but he's done **** all since, he's probably a half decent signing, but nothing special. This England player thing is bollocks, he's got one cap, Anthony Gardner's got one cap and he's worth about 50p.

Considering that those players cost £10m, I think it been money poorly spent, particularly as the best signing was actually on a free.

Schmeichel did have some decent games last year but he's not the best keeper. Is any championship defender worth £5m? From the bit I have seen from him he doesn't look like a £5m player. What happened to their pursuit of Yakubu and Maynard? I know that they had a bid rejected for Maynard but they look a little vulnerable up front.

What you just said about Schmeichel is just plain sour grapes. You'd take him in your side and don't bother wasting your time trying to convince me otherwise.

Also SSL was due to go to Middlesborough for 4.25m medical and everything completed before Gareth Southgate was sacked.

Having one average season doesn't decrease your value from 4.25m to 250k and yes, he is better than Hoofbbs.

Of course we would, we haven't got a goalie. He's not as good as Mannone though, not in the same class. Like comparing a show pony with a thoroughbred race horse.

Hoof? Perhaps if you coached your defenders to bring the ball out, you'd get more out of them, like we did.

The comments on Nugent were a bit harsh. I'm not a massive fan but he scored a lot of goals last season. All in all though, I reckon I could put together a better side than Sven with all that money.

He wasn't our player, why would I have any sour grapes? We've got a new keeper on loan from Liverpool for next season, I suspect we'll be quite happy with him and Adriano Basso looks likely to come in as No.2 and he's also a decent keeper.

It was £4m and the deal didn't go through because it was quite obvious to Strachan that he wasn't worth anything like that much, Boro even paid Preston £2m to get out of the deal. I never suggested he was worth £250k, I said it's what he cost, I just said he was never a £4.5m player.

The deal was ready to be completed until Southgate got sacked!

He is better than Hobbs, who is much more suited to Pearson's tactics.

    Hense why you signed Adebola.

It's 'hence' and what's Adebola got to do with anything?

He's just a no fee/low wage option to bring on if we want to mix things up for the last 15-20 minutes.

The only players we've paid any money for are Jack Hobbs(£800k), Corry Evans(£500k) and Joe Dudgeon(£300k), I'd say they're all decent money signings.

And as Bullard is now back in the squad, one of the best midfielders in the league, I think we're way stronger than last year.

Adebola is 36, he's unlikely to ever start a game a game for us, so it's hardly a tactical move.

Evans and Dudgeon are from Man United, have you heard of Man United? I realise they're unlikely to be a patch on Lee Peltier, but I expect we'll muddle by.

Bullard is a great footballer, he's just a bit of ****er, most of us wanted him gone to free up £45k a week, but as our new owner seems resigned to paying it as long as he's playing for us, then I'm happy for him to be in the team. There's still a chance he'll go to QPR is the next few weeks, in which case he'll be replaced.

Okay, you can pin your hopes on two rejects who Man Utd clearly didnt rate (800k for two young Man United players is laughable) and a man with glass knees.

We'll see where you are come the end of next April.
