So Redders is negotiating a compensation package ... surprised about this after he said he'd return as Head of Academy on 1st July ... can't help feeling there is a bit of ego involved here, and Redders is still smarting after being denied the Head Coach role on a permanent basis. For me, Redders is not a Head Coach/Manager, and he can't control a senior dressing room ... yes, he did very well at Academy level, but it's very different coaching a group of lads who are hungry and trying to make a name for themselves ... there's not going to be any of these young 'uns challenging the coach or slacking off. I wish Redders well, but still feel he's walked away from the best job for him in football ... whether he was nudged by Cellino or not, he should have put his foot down and continued to build on his good work ... time will tell whether Redders is going to craft a career as a Manager, but I can't see it personally, and he may end up running a Conference club for a while, and at best end up as a number two somewhere before finishing back at Youth level where he's best suited. Funny how many times you get an average caretaker manager who suddenly suffers from vertigo and thinks he's a super duper Manager ... so many excellent Assistant Managers have also crashed and burned when takng the step up to the big chair ... Redders will join the likes of Brian Kidd in the history books of failed stepper upper, along with that clown John Carver. Of course, I may be totally wrong, and Redders ends up managing a team in the Champions Lge. Thoughts? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I thought him & his burd were getting kicked out for leaking confidential info. I'm sure there was an article about it about 2 weeks ago.
Redders thought he was what he wasn't. I put Redders in same class as BM. este, I got a funny feeling Redders will be remembered for continually playing a striker who couldn't score; good job we didn't have barn door billy still. What happened to Redders is what he brought upon himself, I stopped trusting him a long time ago.
I seem to remember Redders saying he had to be told before the final game of the season if they weren't going to keep him on as head coach for the additional year. I don't think Cellino did so I guess redders lawyers are checking this loophole for an extra year's money.
He just wants to keep the club bike, Grayson sets the precedent for this. Cantons didn't want it, and sent his back to the wife beater (allegedly)!
Who's the wife beater Chippy? Redders agreed to go back to Academy, then he and his side kick were sacked for allegedly leaking inside info to media. I doubt he'll get much if anything at all, why would you give him anything anyway. Seems no other clubs want Redders, maybe he's doing a Cameron Stewart, no one really wanted him either.
I think that was when I was in Army which is why I missed it, I remember her though when I watched Quadrophenia after I came out Army, and I thought she was sexy when I saw it.
yeah, Ash now has child bearing lips ... disaster, just like Redders Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Redders could have been seen by everyone in world football as someone special. That special person who can spot a kid and develop him into a top player, and people like that are worth a fortune, but he sees himself as a top manager which he certainly isn't. Bye bye Redders you shot yourself in the foot
I agree. Some of the stuff on Twitter about him is bordering on cringeworthy. The anti everything about Cellino brigade using the situation to portray Redders as something he's not or even close to. Did an ok job, but never a long term prospect as first team coach
Doc, great point about making himself invaluable as a talent guru ... Redders missed his opportunity to build a solid career, but his ego and lack of intelligence got the better of him ... can see him becoming another Hock, not that football needs another Hock Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
