my notes showed i was seriously wondering why he was so helpful but i was a biatch without question <ok> I just felt it was ****ed up and the weekend was coming. I reckon my wife was giving me dirty looks.

one huge positive is the 9pm deadline. 8pm was terrible for me but i stuck with it. that got me lots of trouble.

as i said i learned from it and behaved slightly better.

I wouldn't have pushed anyone I infected though, would be too obvious.

If if I had 2 or 3 infected would have been hilarious as I'd get them to all vote for each other and cause arguments, and when one is lynched and becomes a zombie, then other would be prime target as well <laugh>

The SZ role is brilliant if you can get to day 3 or 4 undetected <ok>

yes thats is one possibility. like the suicide bomber. you can have peopel who the mafia know want in and have to choose to either do or not do the task. it is really how to give them their win condition. if they can only win if on the mafia team at end for example.

that can then take a power out of the mafia's hands and that person can work it while they work thier own powers

in effect the recruit is done for them in advance.

That sounds a good, a pillar of society hiding in plain sight. Very Gustavo Fring.

Defo an angle to bring in a Mafia clean up man too, removing evidence or bodies.

I kinda like what Swarbs did with the masons in this game, giving them an extra little power.
masons have been pretty gash and next to useless in previous games, so I thought that was a good idea.

yes, i can see how, if someone resisted and didn't vote unitl 8:59pm then its an issue.

i don't thin kthe compelling meant you had to vote by anything other than end of day so the ideal is to get somene to vote early and get someone up for vote.

we'd all have seen through a vote on bobby for example.

How far were you allowed to compel actions then?

yes. interestingly they did it night one and the mafia did spot it. they were looking for town roles whereas i was not. ACS lynched and any two people form the 3 were masons potentially.

    Very interesting that.

My favorite game by far tho was when I was the mafia hacker.
Was fun as hell watching everyone rack their brains figuring out whether the articles were real or hacked each day <laugh>

I think the idea of hidden codes in papers is ****ing ******ed though.
Why even have a hacker if the real journo can put in a code to tell everyone the article is real or not?
    Just ****ing stupid.

yes for usre. i think the vampire team i did would be like wise. That game was set up to be a pure killing spree. i would like to run it again.

I would howver like to do the sign up and get a few tweaks feedback when i do whenever. I thought as the vampres joined a board and then became a full team it was going to grow too fast and be too powerful half way through.

In this game the zombies could have loads of infected and everyone in town could end up infected i suppose but could still play looking for SZ.

for sure for a manipulator its ideal fun time...

i gave up on paper in my games. I tired to go the whole hog on it but really both journalist and town cop known role are designed to give people info with out a detective just coming out. the hack is trying to balance it.

I just dropped both after all if theres only 2/3 mafia then the town having two detectvies and one finds a gulty then its a great exchange 9 out of 10 to reveal.

I dunno... I set a time of 10 am for the paper. this time swarbs had it out shortly after night time. was that not a tell in itself that the person had to be on? i did not look. did any of you?

I could communicate while they were infected but only via swarbs in pm to keep me identity hidden.

I could only make them vote, but if they wanted help me out they could.

if they became proper zombies then there was a board as they'd be fully on my team.

While le infected it was up to them, gerrez could have continued to help mafia or he could have kept quiet with long be term of getting killed and becoming a zombie to help me,, totally their choixe

Maybe someone is a proper bitch who can't recognise they're just being messed with back. Who should probably accept different people like different aspects of different games and that it's no big deal <whistle>;)

You're rules did contradict, claiming singular hidden actions in role briefs but telling us to keep an open mind in the general brief. So I kept an open mind on what the action could be and not an open mind on how many they were. I just like clarity and structure, which I felt yours lacked.

I did enjoy your game, it just relied on to much guess work for my liking. Don't take it so personally, you've all done a great job and nobody has produced the perfect flawless game which pleases everybody. It's all a working progress for each gamesmaster. Don't sweat it good sir, I look forward to your next. :)

Now you're just deciding what I like and don't like <laugh>

You know, to enjoy somthing doesn't mean to pander to the game master ego and tell him everything was perfect when it wasn't. Middle ground man, I did enjoy your game even though the theme was the best theme to bring in a clean up man like Mike. <ok>:D

yeah so it was then hard to figure out how exactly to get them lynched

Had it gone on I'd say biting astro or valley day one would have led to an infected day 2.

the thing was as a rambling zombie they were then just able to further recruit and infect. and the hunters were going to be after them. it would be a 50/50 each night if you ever got a team on that board

one thing we didn't learn was if killing you took all infection or if had lucaas and you been out that your bites and infections were separate. That i think would have made it a slam dunk.

the one thing to note about the private board is you can log in as anyone and call yourself SUPER ZOMBIE. obviously then all infected on it is not going to work

Yes so it should be hard to get going as a zombie but then once its rolling it should be gold.

I think swarbs set up achieved that nicely.

They didn't contradict, I didn't specify singular in the hidden role for mafia and even stated they start with two kills which made it very clear they would get more (separately to any other hidden stuff), topped off with a statement that certain hidden actions would only be revealed to certain roles and that reading the rules wouldn't reveal everything. I wrote it specifically to avoid people moaning that the rules said xyz about hidden stuff, knowing someone would moan :p if i failed in this then I do apologise!

I agree it ended up too much reliant on guesswork, the problem was the investigative roles either died quickly or played poorly, coupled with the town focusing on what they didn't know (hidden rules) rather than what they did know (e.g. Voting patterns and people defending each other). If I remember rightly the same thing happened last time we had some hidden stuff, everyone focuses on what they don't know rather than what they do.
