It's always worth checking the odds. You can sometimes get 33/1 shots. Dread to think what Browns odds on both to win a set/win. And he's won!
I went West Ham last night mainly for a last trip to Upton Park (the only other time I've been was the opening of the 2006 season where Djimi Traore cost us our Premier League status!) Anyway on the long trip home across the river I saw Ahearne Grant at the O2. He was wearing a Charlton shirt with his name on. He got on the same 486 as me and then got off at The Valley. He seemed to be singing to himself.
Snap, I went last night too, to West Ham. Thought that Poyet had a good game, looked comfortable in midfield. FC Lusitans were really poooooooooor! Couldn't keep up with the tempo, which resulted in a VERY slow last 25 minutes. Downside; made me question why we didn't do more to keep him Funnyside; chanting that Randolph looked like Tim Howard
He did. Looking at them, wouldn't mind us nabbing Reece Oxford, or that young striker, Lee. They looked pretty decent too.
Yes, a good player sometimes. Trouble was, you could tell when he was having an off-day after about 10 minutes, and the manager might as well pull him off there and then. I hated the way we used his almost-long throws. Felt there was a player in there somewhere, but really he was the epitome of why B&M keeps banging on about wingers.
Was on a 2/3 year contract. They didn't like that he was fishing for a transfer via social media when he returned from his wedding
How can they "release" him if he was on a contract? Are you suggesting his remarks on anti-social media constituted breach of contract?
They just moved him on. Technically given a free transfer - whether they had to pay money for that, I wouldn't know.
I just Googled it and it looked like a good day out, shame to have missed it. For fans of drinking I spent last weekend camping in Whitstable and touring the Whitstable/Herne/Herne Bay micropubs. It was a lovely weekend of ales and good weather, in some really accommodating and enjoyable little establishments. Fantastic to see where the movement begun (without sounding like some student ponce - I don't think they've caught on just yet!).
If you like Micro Breweries Kish ... 'The Greenwich Union' is very good and the food is good too, the London Porter is heavy going though. Part of the Meantime Brewing Company just up the road. Zerodegrees in Blackheath Village carry out the brewing under the bar (well in the cellar), the food has a good reputation but I have never eaten there.
The Greenwich Union is nice! Great festival too; I've awoke to a massive hangover. Serves me right for attempting a 13 hour binge! Another thing which is fun to try out this summer with no football. Pop Up Conema and SkyGardens. Got tickets for both.
I did Goldfinger at an open air cinema in Regents Park last year, really recommend but you run the risk of drowning in beards and top knots. Super no, we just leisurely walked the coast and went to 7 micropubs. I didn't realise there is an actual tour? The food at Greenwich Union is fantastic!
