Newcastle game moved to Sunday 9th August

    As title says. Moved to 1.30pm kick off due to Europa. Not televised.

    Home games against Everton, Norwich and Manchester United televised.

    Everton (bt) Saturday 15th August 12.45pm kick off.
    Norwich (sky) Sunday 30th August 1.30pm kick off.
    Manchester United (sky) Sunday 20th September 4pm kick off.

    Watford away moved to Sunday 23rd August with 4pm kick off time.

    Was so looking forward to watching this game live with some Geordie mates - we were only talking about it yesterday - Sundays are a work day in the UAE...

    Any reason for moving the Watford game? If we get through the third EL qualifying round, then fine. But we might not. Surely you wait and see, before moving it. So maybe there's another reason?

    Just noticed that of the six EL group stage gameweeks, there is only one which would lead to a home game being moved for us - and that's Man Utd, which here has already been moved for TV.

    The other five matches which we would have moved to a Sunday, should we progress, are all away. Chelsea, Liverpool, Sunderland, Man City, Palace. (PS. Quite handy that. We'd probably lose away to Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City any way, so who cares if we squad is a little for those games. Would be much worse if they were all against Sunderland and Palace level teams. But hey, still need to qualify first!).

    If we are as successful as last season (combined with the Europa), we could scarcely have a Saturday game.

    Yes, that's the first semifinal of the Audi Quattro Cup. The other game is Red Bull Salzburg v Werder Bremen. The 3rd place playoff and the final follow, all games are 45 minutes only.
