    I know. I just see you guys going at it all the time on here so I thought I'd join in on the fun.

    But if you don't want this stupid American diminishing the level of discourse I guess I'll leave the fun to the rest of you.

    <sorry>

    Its the most of the people with power we don't like. I don't like Germans, but at college had a German friend.

    Have you heard of this guy over your side ot the pond GunslingEER?

    If you were thinking of supporting Mark Allison's efforts by making a donation at some point, Wednesday would be a suitable time - as he's celebrating his 40th birthday.

    Mrs Run Geordie Run and RGR Junior (Jack) have made the trip out to the USA for the celebrations, but regardless of the magnitude of the occasion, there's still another 30+ miles of highway to run along through Illinois.

    In 74 days since leaving California, Mark has completed over 2,000 miles of his 3,100 route to New York. Donations to his two chosen charities, St.Benedict's Hospice and The Children's Foundation are now in excess of £43K.

    Check out Mark's blog here for donation details. And feel free to send him suitable "old git" greetings and/or encouragement via Facebook and Twitter.

    Yeah I check his blog everyday. Amazing thing he's doing! I've never been west of the Mississippi River so it's pretty cool getting to look at the landscape and some of the sites he's seen.

    A bit gruelling but something he'll never forget and can be very proud of.
