Hearing a lot about an approach to Guus Hiddink by #lcfc Looks like they have made their move

City have certainly made an approach to the man they want and it is believed to be Hiddink. Unconfirmed.

Again, I stress Hiddink unconfirmed but a lot of talk now. #lcfc are getting on with it, it would seem.

Looks like some of the nationals are running Hiddink as well, which would suggest this has legs #lcfc

If someone said to me a week ago that Nigel would be sacked and Guus Hiddink the new manager I wouldnt have believed you

But we have to remember what happened with Sven but Sven was probably too ambitious chasing people like David Beckham to play in the championship

Getting Hiddink in would probably improve our chances dramatically of keeping Cambiasso

The owners must have had a wish list compiled before they got rid of NP. Hiddink would be great if we could get him.

Really wouldn't want him, too old and no long term plan. Would honestly prefer Lennon in my opinion

I think keeping Walsh, Shakespeare, Rudkin etc. is as key as appointing a new boss, but I think it's clear that the owners will want a big name like Hiddink as he's more marketable, we've already seen something similar with Sven. I really hope this isn't similar to that one, although I think Hiddink is a better coach, though personally I would rather someone younger like Michael Laudrup. The problem with Sven is that we were in the Championship and he was trying to hire players to play for him in a division lower- with someone like Hiddink we could get players that are actually good, and don't just think they are.

He is 68 and will bring his own staff - doubt if he will, or even can, change.

Does he have a regular backroom staff? I guess that people like Phillips would be safe for his specific knowledge and experience of the league, i hope that we do keep Walshy and Shakey as well though and see if Pearson comes calling when he gets a new job.

Not surprising that these tweets plus other sources have pushed Hiddink to favourite above Lennon on skybet

Can see him going to Qatar, USA or even back home to Argentina - money is rolling in again and he would be joining the likes of Tevez.
