Well that's a stupid analogy, well done. 2 **** teams could make 1 decent one and thus stop making Hull the joke of the rugby world. There'd be half the costs and the same income, unless any of TWS ****s just stopped pretending to be proud of Hull and supported the Rhinos of course. 2 clubs that have long divided a city not big enough for 2 clubs but this is ignored by the same people bleating about The Allams. Continuing to be **** and risking disappearing all together seems to me to be a stupid reason to avoid any historical enmity.
You're happy their identity consists of the words joke and making the numbers up? Plus of course FC and their slightly changed identity from their origins? Yes I can see why you think you know better.
Please elaborate on "joke". I wouldn't call two teams with that much silverware & prestige within the game they play as a "joke". What's laughable about the fact FC have been in the challenge cup final 3 times (winning once) in the last 10 years & Rovers have been in the semi final twice in a similar period (once as NL1 side). FC getting to the Super League Grand Final etc etc.
Gracious me, no. They and their fans are jokes. Obviously fans of either but especially FC won't see that.
It had a decent one when I played union in Hull ( 1956-59) called Hull and East Riding RUFC. Think it survived until the late 80's.
comparing Football , Union and League (and its not always a fair comparison either) whatever the quality League gives the best representation to the sport than any 3 ive seen . love , hate or wum - RL shows of its best at any level
Whilst I'm not a fan of RL, I do watch the occasional game. There are two aspects that I wish modern day football would embrace. 1) respect for the officials, eg no swearing or back chat 2) no feigning of injury to gain an advantage
Not going down all that well with FC fans... http://forums.rlfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=585022 AP is live on Sportstalk tonight to explain himself. Rather more measured comments from the KR fans... http://forums.rlfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=585032
Perhaps due to our academy being rated as Outstanding, Rovers was requires improvement or average. Also our Under 16's are very highly rated with some national team representatives, same with our Under 19's who were towards the top of the academy table. Merging so they can have access (potentially) to this is disgusting
Methinks this is a prelude to AP ****ing off and cutting all ties with Hull, he's clearing the decks, cutting costs ............ flogging it!
We tend to pick up the better ones anyway due to the better facilities etc. We only maybe lose 1 or 2 to Rovers and gain 4 or 5
Q: What is black and white and red all over? King-Gates-Hull-Airley-Rovers-Robin-Sharks - Academy RLFC ....
It certainly favours Rovers more than Hull FC as things stand at the moment, although it doesn't really benefit either of them in the long run. The real winners will be the local National Conference teams such as West Hull, East Hull..etc, with only one academy and not two more youngsters will stay with their local conference side which will give them a huge boost.
