What a sad homophobe you are. It doesn't matter that they are worse than a mans team, they are not playing against men. They have represented our Country well and deserve some praise. Some of the people's attitude on here about Women is positively Stone Age. I am getting heartily sick of Football forums in general and some people in particular. For that reason I am out.
The whole thing has been ridiculously over hyped by the media wing of the Labour Party aka the BBC. Their presenters were told to wear black ties this morning (even the women...)

Because it was England, and I had nothing else to do, I watched the whole match. England were unlucky to lose. But the standard of football was terrible. England won every header for 90 minutes and 90% of tackles, but when they had good possession simply lumped the ball forward in the air for someone to (fruitlessly) chase. The above poster was right. It is Hackney Marches level. I realise the US, Germany and France are a level above the rest, but still not worth watching.
But I think I must be a lesbian.... I like women. Good to see their shirts match their kitchen appliances.
Come on Dickp, surely you can just ignore offensive posts? It's quite easy, just as easy as ignoring the women's world cup, if you don't find it entertaining, as I don't. If anyone who hates it still watches it that's their problem. The question I ask is "Why?"
Back to the wimin, it's not helping that this World Cup is being played on 3G pitches and no team looks comfortable on them. The standard of top international winins football is probably about 3rd tier semi pro in England (or Scottish 1st Division), the England team would probably give our U18 team a good game , HOWEVER, the standard of Wimin goalkeepers is truely shocking and about the same level as Sunday morning park players... not sure why female keepers are so far behind? Perhaps there is not the glamour in playing in goal as for say playing at Centre Half? I watched the Germany/France quarter final last weekend..... good game.
The quality of the football on off was mainly dire, but that was'nt just England, but the level inb general. I wanted England to win, so I was gutted we lost to a last minute OG, but that's the way England football teams are. Besides, we have enjoyed some fairly sub standard performances at the Valley recently. Homophobic comments about Simon Church would have been bang out of order, so I don't really see much reason for them about the women's world cup. Finally, don't go Dick. It's a fórum. There's always all sorts of views.
