I'm just not sure where he is going to fit into a 4-3-3 formation unless he plays out wide. But then I can see it more of a Varney type role which I hated in the team. We're also being linked with many wide players which suggests we are looking for strength out there because we don't currently have any. I personally see him as back-up to Wood now which really becomes a replacement for Matt Smith.

Where do you see him fitting in?

Morning ristac, be nice to have someone with the Vinnie factor. Last time we were promoted from this division we had players like Hendrie, Kamara, Jones, Bairdy, Noel Blake, Vince Hilaire. Blimey our disciplinary record must have been shocking...

It showed tho, that not many teams in the division fancied that fixture.

Evening Josh, Suppose I'm taking into account that the club is now being run properly, we are operating on an even keel, we have Pearson behind the scenes. Seems everything is slotting into place like a jigsaw.

I'm more excited that we have attracted a player like Wood to out club.

He would not have dreamed about joining us in the past few years.

Matt, In a word no he has caused too much trouble where ever he has played the only reason he got paid so much by QPR was that he had been given a free transfer from Newcastle who incidentally lost millions on him City were the only team to make money out of him
So he's totally overpaid' 34 years of age' will disrupt any team ,will show bad example to the young players has no resaleable value so what more can I say let Watford have him .He was so good that QPR got relegated enough said

I believe Uwe Rosler will encourage the team to pass the ball quickly. I seem to remember Wigan playing good football when he was there. We have some good young players and if he could get them playing as a team we could be on the right track.

Think QPR had a large amount of players who were underachieving. Not sure Barton was one of them

Josh he can play wide left or right although he generally favours playing wide left I think you will get a pleasant surprise when you see him play I think he will be become a great player.I know a lot will be now making notes as to what I say
I think the lad coached properly will make us really appreciate him so there! His shooting accuracy is excellent but I don't know about his heading skills this signing in my mind spells the end for Doukara who I have never fancied

Be lovely to play attractive football, whilst keeping possession.

Barton would say that wouldn't he to deflect from his own performances

He came across as genuine (to me) at the end of last season when he apologised to the QPR fans saying performances were not good enough and a number of players were just there for their pay cheques.

Things are looking up, is it Pearson who is pulling the strings?? certainly makes a change of reading about all the dead wood we have been associated with in the past, is the sleeping giant going to be woken, had to pinch myself a couple of times whilst reading some of the news.

See I think I'm imagining us playing a different style to you. I'm thinking proper wingers (ie. gradel and snoddy style) either side of a single proper CF (ie. Wood). If we play Erwin outside rather than through the middle he'll be playing a similar role to what Varney played for us which I never saw the point of and I'd be disappointed. Unless of course I am completely confusing his style of play, just going off what I've heard and limited viewing of youtube (which never gives a good judge of a player). He seems more like a centre forward and I really wanna get out of this frame of mind that the club has that we can play people out of position.

I'll always be a fan of this as well but I still think you need some experience in the team to ride out the season, we lack leaders.

Would have been interesting to find out whether he could have saved them from relegation. Think Arry is one of those Managers that players WANT to do well for
