It's not a request, its the basis of the agreement, the money the CE accumulates isn't the royal families and if there was a mutual agreement between the government and the royalty to end the agreement there would have to be an agreed settlement figure and they wouldn't get anywhere near the amount its worth currently.
The CE owns vast areas of forestry and farms, factories, retail parks in different parts of the country, the government would want their slice of that little lot and rightly so imo.

They can want what they like, it doesn't matter who has made the money, it matters who would legally own the crown estate and it would be the royals.

I find myself at polar opposites with AFCFTW on everything today. :bandit:

The crown estate is itself a great example of why we shouldnt have a monarchy. How did the crown estate come about? AND more importantly, how does it continue to grow through the acquisition of properties today? AND why the fck did/do we allow such a situation to legally exist?!

An analogy would be the family on DSS a few years back who were legally entitled to, and awarded, a 5 bedroom mansion with benefits totalling £30k a year. The general public didnt say "ah it's ok, it's their legal right". No we all said WTF is all that sh1t about and politicians quickly jumped on the bandwagon to change policy to take away those bullsh1t rights.

Change the law, bring the property of the crown estate into the public purse and fck off the royals

Think that was the argument offered by Charles I, the Romanovs and Louis XVI. So there is another solution.

Nope, I've already shown from links off their own website that they don't own the agreement, if they did have the right to do. a runner with the readies and the assets they would have done so a long time ago and not necessarily during the house of Windsor's reign.

The play on words by the phrase "in right of the Crown" seems to be being misinterpreted by you afc, under the/every reigning monarch the king or queen become the figurehead of the CE until death or abdication, they get an agreed financial percentage of its income/worth but the rest goes into the kitty.
The monarch can't touch the money, sell the land and/or other assets, they can't purchase anything that could be added to the CE, their payout is decided by the government and not long ago the queen had to accept less money from CE because a government select committee decided.

Doesn't make sense that she'd allow herself to be told she's going to get less if she had the right to tell them to "**** off, its all mine"

If she is removed as the head of state legally the royal family will take ownership of the crown estate.

Soz mate that ship sailed out when. I posted from the government's own website that they could never take ownership of something they don't own and are only a beneficiary of.

But believe what you like afc.<ok>

That's a clip from the House of Commons discussion a few years back. If you can handle the poshness for long enough there are some good points in there. Theres plenty of other bits and pieces about it all over the place.

And I shall believe it because I'm right ;)
