I didn't make it sound like being gay was an affliction or like being disabled, what a load of ****. I said persecuting someone for something which isn't a choice (e.g. A man being attracted to other men) and persecuting someone because of something that is there choice (religion) is a different thing. I also went on to say I wouldn't want people to feel persecuted because of either. I was simply pointing out that your comparison was a poor one! Not trying to insinuate gay people are disabled...what a ****ing leap.

So to think someone is naturally attracted to whoever they are attracted to, be that men, women or both, is somehow suggesting people who aren't straight are disabled? I just can't even begin to understand what kind of ridiculous point your trying to make.

You see this is just so wrong it's unreal <laugh> So bcos you don't believe in something Bod nobody else should??? What next mate, abolish halloween, tell children the tooth fairy doesnt exist, ban political parties like the Raving Loony Monster party bcos they aspise cloud cuckoo beliefs? So what if ppl choose to believe in something spiritual that you and I can't comprehend? Leave them to it. Your tone borders on the fascist.

As for religion causing wars that's always the straws ppl clutch but the reality is there are just as many wars/ mass athrocities caused by people of no faith. The truth is that 99.9% of conflicts are motivated by politics and/or economics. Things like religion/ethicity/race are the tools used to garner support and enemies within conflicts thats all. It's the same for ISIS as much as it was for Pol Pot. If it wasnt religion it would be one of a dozen other things used as a tool.

    As for your last paragraph...

Couldnt that equally apply to homosexuality <laugh>

That's the irony I keep finding in all this. The very narrow minded obtuse views we accuse religious zealots of having, are demonstrated equally by atheists. Surprising how much you sound so similar...so much you have in common <whistle>

With one notable difference, I am right, and they are wrong <whistle>

And no, there is nothing unnatural about homosexuality, it came about naturally, it wasn't made in a lab.

Why quote my response to Bod when I responded exactly tge same thing to you early? Whether it was your intention to make sound like an affliction or not, that's how it could be seen. As I said in my response TO YOU directly, I'm not saying that was what you WERE saying so stop getting so offended. As for the argument you made, it was poor in itself. What difference does it make that my lifestyle is driven by genetics or by choice. We live in a free society. Whether someone chooses to believe in something you dont, doesnt mean they should be attacked for it. I said all this in my reply to you earlier which didnt seem to bother you as I heard nothing more from you on it. If you agree with that, dont see what you're arguing about quite frankly.

    hehe

I have always said dictatorship is the way to go, you just need to pick the right dictator.
In the immortal words of Tommy Lee Jones: "A Person can be smart, but people are stupid"

Anakin Skywalker: We need a government that sits down, agrees whats best for everybody and then just does it.
Padme: Thats we do, problem is we don't always agree!
Anakin: Then they should be MADE to agree
Padme: By who? Whose gonna make them? You?
    Anakin: No! Someone wise......

    No, religion is worse.
It was made in a ****ing sewing circle, by pre industrial, pre civilisation throwbacks.
And evolution hasn't taught us that, for all you know homosexuality may be the new evolved breed.
