Choice? The fact that female sexuality is not as programmed as male sexuality? How man straight women can sit there watching lesbian porn, and not bat an eye lid, some may even enjoy it. How many straight men could sit through a gay porn? Most men you asked, even the liberals, it provides no joy whatsoever and for a lot it turns their stomachs. And how do you account for the fact that over 80% of "Lesbians" still have had sexual encounters with men in their adult life? Compared to 17% of gay men having sex with women? You still trying to tell me that women and men are equally bound by their choice of sexuality?

As testosterone levels in gay men varies across the same wide spectrum that it does in straight men.

How many have you asked? Social conditioning would stop men admitting to the second question btw. I've no idea where you got the 80% of lesbians have had sex with men stats from, but what ****ing relevance is it to the fact that having tried it they don't fancy men and are attracted to women and then live the rest of their lives as lesbians? I've said from the off sexuality is a spectrum, it was you who wanted to pigeon hole people, and decry that you understand what makes them gay. Do you know many gay men or women for that matter btw?
Lots of gay men (10+ maybe), two of my cousins, my brother in law and his partner, a friend of the family and his partner, and one of my wifes best mates to name a few. Plus one of my cousins (a "lesbian") manages a LBGT bar. Tons of Bi sexual women though only maybe 2 lesbians I think.....

Nobody is born gay or straight. There is no biological evidence to support that idea. To say it is a choice is wrong as well. Homosexuality is far more complex than saying you're born that way or it's a choice. This book is often cited as being an excellent read in exploring the myths and pointing out the flaws in research on sexual orientation - Brain Storm: The Flaws in the Science of Sex Differences by Rebecca Jordan-Young.
I must admit that this is one area in which I really don't trust any research done, simply because the topic is so political and there is huge pressure on both sides of the argument to come up with support or discreditation that suits their purposes.
Science doesn't have a 'side' though. Scientists are not political or agenda based on this, providing you're looking at the top neuro scientists, developmental biologists etc. who are conducting meaningful research to add to the community of research and not seeking to prove [or dis-prove] anything.
Science doesn't but individuals do. There probably (hopefully) are impartial scientists working in the field. But can you guarantee that the person who wrote the study you're reading right now is one of them? Obviously that's the case for a lot of issues, but this is a field where a lot of quack science is funded by both sides to help further their points.
I don't think too many individuals have access to cadavers and/or university labs. I agree that a poll in Now magazine doesn't count as definitive research that men are more promiscuous than women for example. I'm not aware of a Gay Society of Developmental Biologists .... or the Homophobic Neuroscience Dept. at Oxford/Cambridge/Harvard universities

AFC said that putting down gay ppl was not the same as putting down religious ppl bcos they choose to be religious wheras gays don't choose their sexuality. I was only saying that he made it sound like being gay was an affliction (something forced upon someone like being disabled) which it isnt, and therefore to think like that is also offensive to homosexuals surely? In short imo whether you put down someone who's lifestyle is through choice or genetics, it's still equally uncalled for.
