Hopefully we won't have 30k empty seats like United did v Newcastle. Or 10k empty seats like United did v Liverpool
League cup game but plenty of empty seats at Prem games too, that's why Glazers did not finish expansion to 90k I guess Only 46k for a champions league game too http://www.manchestereveningnews.co...ealed-manchester-uniteds-old-trafford-2592078
I think you'll find that was just a co-incidence. They all bought them from the Trafford Centre on the same day.
Yes. as far as I am aware anyway. There is also an issue of the houses too. I seem to recall we had bought them all now but cant quite remember. The railway line is the big issue though. The most recent plans have it running under the south stand but this would involve closing and potentially moving the line. Network Rail don't want that as its one of the mainlines through to Liverpool and would cause massive disruption. We would also have to foot the bill for any work on the railway line. Talking huge money. It will happen one day, just need to figure out the railway dilemma.
Glazers said there is no point embarking on such an expensive venture when you can't fill 75k TV money and commercial revenues are what really matters now and dwarfs gate receipts
Who would want to go to Liverpool anyway, just close the line Serious note: It is to do with the train line being close to the stand
Yep, we have an identical problem with the District Line running down the back of the East Stand. Chelsea were looking at building over it, or digging below. If the Glazers think rebuilding the stand is worth it, they will buy up houses and build over like the opposite stand. 95k would be impressive
