I remember us being 1-0 up in a Quarter Final before.

    That was pretty good.

Yeah i thought after the Argentina match & Denmark in the previous rounds we'd do better in Japan/ Korea. Still can't believe how we lost that match. He was quite clearly crossing that. Then we just gave up.

The Portugal 2004 1/4 final saw shocking tactics from the supposed "golden generation". Score early and gradually get deeper and deeper until you're on your own goal line. And don't get me started on Beckham's penalty- still in space, isn't it?Can't believe how badly mismanaged our national teams have been over recent years.

Our "Golden Generaton" was probably 2002, when we got you lot in the group stage.

Sweden, Argentina, England, Nigeria (Group of death), which we managed to win.

Lost against Senegal in the knockout stage after OT, would've got Turkey in the quarter final (hardly impossible)

I remember crying after the game, tough memories :D This moment.......they scored on the attack after if I remember correctly.

Realize that most of you buggers couldn't care much less, but do you reckon they'd get a similar reception in England?

    How many turned up?

Since football is our number one sport & we packed out the centre of London when we won the Rugby world cup & the Ashes, yes we would.
