They pay themselves Bollocks, they cost every UK citizen 56p a year. You are crowd funding a family of Germans. Prince Philip has family nazi connections ffs and this is the scum you call Royals.
Laughing and saying bollocks doesn't make you right. They are paid out of the crown estate, this is fact. It was recently clarified in the House of Commons that should we remove the royal family they would be the legal owners of the crown estate and would then not be obliged to contribute the profits of the crown estate to the country. The crown estate earns us £250-300Million a year as a country, we currently pay the royals 15% of that. If we got rid of them they would be entitled to the full 100%. Ergo not only do they pay for themselves they contribute hundreds of millions into the countries coffers.
Royal family expenses: Taxpayers pay 56p each for upkeep of monarchy – and royals insist it's 'value for money' http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...rises-twice-as-fast-as-inflation-9563293.html
Here is also some Royal family history you won't like. They were\are Nazis, aren't you a royalist? The House of Windsor, steeped in Nazi history, not just the king who had to Abdicate http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/sociopolitica/esp_sociopol_blacknobil09.htm
Posting a random link doesn't change UK law. Looking at the cost of the royals independently of where the money comes from and the royals contribution to the state is ****ing ******ed. Once again, should we remove the royals from power they would legally be the owners of the crown estate. They would however no longer have to pay any contribution to the country. They would be FAR richer and the country would be hundreds of millions a year worse off.
The tax payer funds the upkeep of the royals mate though I do feel a little wummy this morning, not had my coffee yet
From the Independent article "The Queen’s official expenditure from the Sovereign Grant, the amount released from the public purse each year to finance the monarch, increased to £35.7m" So this fund you talk of, does it pay their actual salary and the rest is picked up by the tax payer?
I feel like bashing my face against a wall half the time I speak to you lol. I've explained it pretty clearly for you now.
You have explained nothing, to me it's just "your opinion". I think the journalist might just have looked into it when he wrote that article. If you feel like bashing your face against a wall, I am pretty sure that is your issue and nothing to do with me #frustrated
The crown estate pays it's profits into the public coffers, the royals are currently paid back the equivalent of 15% of this money as a grant to finance them. If we removed them as our head of state they would no longer be obliged to pay any of the crown estate profits into the public purse. They could just keep 100% of the earnings off the crown estate.
I find it incredibly frustrating when people think they are being really clever and laughing at my view when I know my view to be fact. Especially when i repeatedly explain it to them!
They get their money from a sovereign grant and that comes from public money Another source "Last year, the monarch received a sovereign grant of £31m" http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/jan/29/royals-want-new-boiler-we-pay-for-it So I have provided two different sources and you none
Also the Royals rented out the palace to banksters JP Morgan, for 11m (much of this 11m is raised by entry fees for tourists and such)and pocketed it even though the property doesn't belong to them. They still collected their millions from the sovereign grant at the tax payer's expense Buckingham Palace 'hired out' for bank dinner http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukn...kingham-Palace-hired-out-for-bank-dinner.html Biggest benefit fraudsters in the ****in country and they are immigrants too
Ffs. You must be on the wind up. I don't believe you're that stupid to not understand what I'm saying to you... The monarchy are paid a grant to finance them. I haven't disagreed with this. What I've tried to point out to you is where that grant comes from. It is taken as 15% of the profits off the crown estate. The crown estates profits are paid into the public purse. Then the grant is paid out. So the crown estate pumps £250-300m into the country, but the royals only receive back 15% of that as a grant to finance them. It was clarified in the House of Commons a couple of years back that if we removed the royal family they would under UK law be the legal owners of the crown estate. The crown estate would no longer need to pay it's profits into public coffers, it would just go directly to the royals. Therefor whilst technically we pay for the royals, when only looking at the process by which the payment happens, but when you look at the big picture you realise the royals actually contribute far more to the country than they take. If we got rid of them we would lose the hundreds of millions a year which would then go directly into there pockets. The royals would be richer if we removed them from there position as head of state and the country would be worse of. Hopefully that is now clear lol
