Woohoo, 50 minutes into the new season and already fans are telling Adkins how to do his job. What's the worry, Forecast isn't going to play any first team games
Exactly! I don't see why Kelvin is being 'saved' for saturday, surely 45 mins for Bart and Kelvin is the way to go? Maybe Adkins needs to see how bad Forecast is, could be a good thing!!
The problem is that we have to have a third goalkeeper. He will scarcely play. If you have £X to spend, would you spend it on another keeper? This is preseason..all about getting people fit and keeping them interested.
So why play him at all then? More to the point why have him at the club if he can't impress at Grimsby?
Because Lowe gave him a Five year contract. You can't get rid of players if no one is willing to sign them. So if Saints cancelled his contract, they'd have to pay all his wages, plus compensation for the period from now to the end of his contract.
So if Davis or Bialkowski are injured we are just going to have no goalkeeper sub instead. Is Forecast the new Puncheon already?! If you want to blame anyone blame Lowe for giving him a five year contract.
I'm with you there, we don't have to spend for a 3rd choice keeper i'm sure there is one available on a free or maybe young Jack Dovey given 3rd choice place seeing as he wouldn't play but would get to be part of the 1st team.
We have U18 goalies, but it's better for them to be getting regular and full games for the youth teams right now.
I'm not putting Forecast in the Puncheon mould, I don't think he is disruptive or anything like that and I have nothing against him I just don't think he is a good keeper even as 3rd choice. Similar to Pullis who we have only just got rid of, suppose we have to wait it out unless he discovers the future England talent he was touted as having when he joined us.

Yeah nothing can beat playing I agree but seeing as it would be only if 1st and 2nd choices are out then maybe he could be drafted in? Anyway don't want to upset anyone else with anti Forecast talk, and from what I can see he hasn't conceded again! Updates on the game has gone quiet, is there full commentary on Saints Player?
