July 16th is so incredibly late to unveil it. Fair enough it goes on sale that late but at least show us what it's going to look like. We play a friendly in Portugal on the 11th. The players will actually play in the kit before we can see what it looks like. Ridiculous.
Safe on that this year Craving, but is it sparky white? Or is it only the 'sepia - old film' attempt that make it kind of cream? And what about hoops on the socks? Haven't had those since 1903/04 (if all the way down) or 1998/99 (if only round the top). Both were good years for the Club so a bit of optimistic nostalgia either way.
In tonight’s game against the Met Police, the U21s wore last years shirt with no sponsor logo. An option to continue with MarathonBet has not been taken up and It’s expected that the new sponsor will be announced next week.
Let's hope it lives up to the hype ... money wise at least! "Fulham Football Club is delighted to announce that at the commencement of the 2015/16 season it will be partnering with an exciting new sponsor. As one of the most important parts of a sponsor’s association with any football club is its place on the front of the shirt that the fans wear, the Club has decided that to give maximum impact to the new sponsor’s official partnering announcement, that it is going to delay the unveiling of next season’s new kit until a unilateral reveal can take place. Whilst we understand there is excitement surrounding the new shirt and fans want to be able to purchase one as soon as possible, Fulham is committed to delivering value and recognition to the partners that invest with us, and as we are especially excited about both the profile and potential longevity of this brand, we hope the fans will be patient whilst the finishing touches are applied and it has league approval of the designs across all kits. During the remaining friendly matches the team will play in last season’s home kit, leading up to the big kit reveal."
Perhaps next season will be a retelling of an old fairy tale: the Emperor's new kit. All will go fine until a lone voice from the Hammersmith End points out that the players have no clothes on. After that, the season descends into a farce of derision and humiliation. You know, a bit like the last couple of seasons.
Chin up lads. The kit is looking to be traditional black and white (with 2 white stripes down the shorts, I live in hope), plus we have a new sponsor, which is better than no sponsor or Mary's Corner Shop. We played well against Villa on Saturday and the lads looked fit, well and happy. Personally I can't wait for the start of the new season and a few more signing which are being reported to be coming at some point, perhaps nearer the deadline. We have got some good players in so far and don't anticipate we will bring in some donkeys as last year, we have also offloaded the donkeys or those not committed to the cause. It's happy days as I currently see things developing.
The new kits have been leaked through a Channel 5 ad. The sponsor might be different but the kit design is the same. The home kit is pretty much perfect in my eyes, bar maybe the socks: please log in to view this image The away kit though I think is pretty horrendous: please log in to view this image
Agreed that the home kit looks great. A friend of mine saw last year's home shirt and asked how hard is it to get a plain white shirt right. It looks like we've finally managed it for the first time in several years. As for the away shirt, I don't mind it. We've had the halved shirts before (red and black, back in the early/mid 90s) and we've had yellow with black trim before (the early Al Fayed years - I think we were wearing them when our third tier champions-to-be knocked Premier League leaders Aston Villa out of the FA Cup). Generally I prefer us to have red as the main colour of the away kit, but this is much better than the day-glo orange of the recent past. Aston Villa as Premier League leaders? Honestly, younger board users, I'm not making that up.
The strip is not white. It's CREAM. And still no sign of the sponsor. Which must be beginning to be a concern, to Adidas if nobody else.
I'm just going to say it...... I love hooped socks always have done, this us going to a much better season
I like the Hooped socks as well, the only thing that spoils it for me is the different colour of boots everyone wears with them.
