Are you lot worried that you will struggle this season ? You dont seem to have any real transfer targets and with clubs like West Ham buying up some of the best talent around and Southampton looking strong could spurs be in for a bottom half finish? I cant see Kane having another season like last year and you will always concede goals. What do you think ? Are you worried already ?
No I don't. We have a very young team and we have brought in or recalled some exciting young players - Alli, Pritchard, Carroll, Wimmer, Trippier. Plus Mason, Bentaleb, Townsend, Dier may all well improve this season and Eriksen and Lamela looked very good at times last year. So not going to run away with the league, but I'd expect us to be in the running for Europe.
because spurs are well known for introducing and supporting young players. Apoart from kane you have produced nothing and instead prefer to waste money on hopeless european "talent". Not one of those young players will make an impact next year. Lamela is awful - scored one good goal but has done nothing else. Relying on him to come good is why you will ned up low mid table. Probably too strong to go down but i cant see a top half finish
I take it from your comments that you have watched us regularly last season? That's the only way you can be sure of what you are saying. Last half dozen games, Lamela was one of our best players, caused he was rested properly, and he will progress or be replaced. We are becoming known for introducing young players. Kane, Mason and Bentaleb were all regulars last year and Dier became one later in the season.

Thanks for your concern and popping by, TJ. It's nice knowing that even fans of our local rivals take a keen interest in our fortunes, though supporting West Ham I suppose taking an interest in Spurs is mandatory. It's going to be an interesting season that's for sure, we had the youngest squad in the league last season and finished 5th, beating some strong sides to that position, like Liverpool, Southampton and Swansea (I would say yourselves included but you're not very strong, sorry). So the question now is will our young lads push on? I think they can, Harry Kane is almost a God, whereas Bentaleb has become one of the most highly rated young CM's in Europe, that on top of players like Dier, Rose, Mason, Chadli and Eriksen all looking good and improving, not forgetting having one of the world's best goal keepers (hey even our back up keeper is good, he's a Dutch international, better than your first choice as it goes, not that I'm rubbing it in though), so add all of those to our new signings and returning loanees, I think we should look to be finishing around 5th again, the top 4 are very strong and although there's a possibility we could crack it (again), it's a tough ask. I suppose if we're nearing January and not looking so promising, perhaps stuttering a little, we can always use our fall back option and just take the best lads you can offer to help strengthen our cause, Payet looks a good player and if he settles well I'm sure we'll take him off your hands so you don't get stuck with a player far too good for your club which could create problems, so you can thank us in advance that. Once again thanks for popping by, good luck trying to finish above the drop zone again, 12th was really good for you guys last season, so try and aim for that again - always got to aim high you see, though don't get disheartened if you finish slightly below that, as long as it's not 18th, you don't want to finish 18th, otherwise you'll be playing Championship football the following season... I think Adrian's a really good 'keeper actually. Wouldn't mind us getting him if Lloris goes. Could probably swap him for Chiriches as he's more their level.
Ooof, replacing Hugo with Adrian is a major down grade in my eyes. Decent keeper, good first choice for anyone in bottom half but I certainly wouldn't see him being a keeper good enough for anyone trying to crack into European spots. Vorm is better as well in my opinion. If we're in a position of needing to replace Hugo and we're looking closer to home, I'd take Begovic (if he's not snapped up as Chelsea's No 2) or keep Vorm first choice and make a bid for Butland, I think he has a very good future.Though if we're looking for the best possible replacement, I've always thought Handonovic of Inter was a good keeper. As for the Vlad-meister, I think even West Ham are too good for him based on his performances last season, he's got too much flair to be a Premier League CB, wouldn't surprise me if he flourished in a league like La Liga though.
Everyone's a downgrade compared to Lloris. Adrian the only West Ham player I think that's capable of playing at a higher level.
The short answer is a quite emphatic no! I think we are retaining the squad that finished 5th last season and adding a few well chosen squad players where they are required I am sure a couple more will arrive and a couple more will leave. After all the window did only open today. I must admit I think that you have signed some interesting players and could be on for a decent season, but the Europa league has proved to be very unforgiving to clubs who are in it for the first time, so the additions maybe needed just to maintain last seasons placing. Only 1 English team has successfully qualified for the europa league in succesive seasons since the format was changed, you wont need telling which club that is!
I'm trying to think of a Spanner that I'd have in the Spurs squad over any of the current players... nope! Can't think of one. I have no problem with fans getting a little over-optimistic about the chances for their club, ahead of a new season - and Spanners dreaming about WHUFC finishing above the mighty Spurs is as valid , a dream as any, I suppose - but there is optimistim and then there is stupidity, and TJ Spanner over-stepped the mark by quite some way, I'm afraid. Good try, though, son. You did make me smile.
Difficult decision ahead for the Spanners. Do they succumb to the heady aroma (for them) of UEFA participation, and suffer the fate of small clubs watching their PL form collapse (into relegation in this case) ?? Or do they focus solely on the PL, matching their 2014-15 pts total in the high 40s, but avoiding the humiliation of being the club with the biggest stadium capacity in a lower division ??
