    We had snail races at work a while back and mine kept getting beat. I took it`s shell off to see if it would make it faster but it just made it a little sluggish :(

    Weird you'd think no shell would make it more aerodynamic and less weight would help speed it up

    I've never been remotely interested in cars and find people talking about cars to be incredibly dull. As a result I've been one of the lucky ones who's never got involved with the Top Gear hysteria. I do find Clarkson's articles (when not car related) quite funny despite the fact that they are contrived to be controversial.

    Funnily enough I feel the same about glory hunting united fans.....without doubt the dullest people on earth <ok>

    As for Clarkson....he's a racist buffoon and the beeb should be ashamed yes....for not sacking him after his "slant on the bridge" gaffe <doh> Giving him a platform is like giving your loony, racist grandad a bottle of scotch and a megaphone and letting him stand on a soapbox in the middle of Church St.

    I'll still miss Top Gear though, best telly programme in decades and basically irreplaceable. Sunday evenings won't be the same without it.

    what people don't get its that if this were just clarkson nobody would give a toss. it is the interrelationship between the 3 that is unique. Thats what sells it.

    Not sure why you brought that into the discussion but I know what you mean. There's nothing more tedious than a 1980's Liverpool fan crapping on about how no one understands what it means to support da greatest club in da world, Anfield's a cathedral and being amongst fellow 1980s Liverpool fans is like being with family even though they're strangers. No one understands. Dey think dey do but dey don't.

    I don't mind the digs. If I did I wouldn't post on this forum where I am very much in the minority! I do like reminding Liverpool posters of a certain age about the irony of calling any fans of any other clubs glory hunters. Their lack of self awareness is hilarious (that rhymes).
