Interesting to note that our fellow League One contenders, Peterborough United, have West Ham and Tottenham as pre-season friendlies, both teams closer to travel to us. While we have non league opposition, apart from the tractor boys.

Guess the ££££ signs and influence have been talking again.

Thought we had Pompey and Brighton at home?

    Never trust the OS. Lol

As you were saying though it is the same old usual non league Kent sides that we are playing. Would be nice to have something a little different.

For those of you barely in England----
Dover v Gills Saturday 25th July --- confirmed on the O/S - but so was the game at Maidstone before it got cancelled. You might want to check before getting out your passports.

I'll probably do the Brighton game - hoping to get some 'accurate' indicator as to our potential for the serious games.

They will be going on a bonding trip to Le Touquet for the first time in a couple of years which will be good for them. According to the KM they are looking to arrange a game with a local side but if I remember rightly, the last game against Calais ended up being bit of a farce. <doh>

I would imagine Barry Fry has influence on our friendlies. Personally I would love an away match at Bromley .... would definitely attend that :)

Gills have Bromley at their place on the 21st July, you could always watch that and see a proper team play <whistle>

I understand game time is a vital part of preseason but I always have Simon King/Birchall flashbacks at games of this type...
