Only for a couple of games, presumably just to give Butland some experience given Begovic was being linked with a move and he's entering last year of his contract. He could have been a decent signing for Arsenal, or a replacement for De Gea / Lloris. Seems strange if he does go to Chelsea as he's not as good as Cech in my opinion, who couldn't get in ahead of Courtois.
Could see Begovic at Spurs if the rumoured GK swapping actually happens. He'd be super for Everton if they could get him.
We're apparently in discussions with Ludwig Augustinsson - Swedish U21 LB who is playing at the Euro's atm. Plays for Copenhagen and has been a "key figure" for U21's in their run to the final. Can't say I've ever heard or seen him before
He better wait until after the competition to sign or he will be blamed for any losses like with Brazil, Germany U21s etc.
Great for Arsenal but the guy is a total ****, drink driving almost killing someone then laughing to the police arresting him would be bad for the country
In my opinion if Arsenal get Vidal then they are certainly ones to watch next season. 2 areas they needed strengthening and they have with 2 excellent players. If they get a striker too, they could be ready for a title push.
I have heard of him, he's the one already hated in English media because he called England overrated. Even though he was proven right by England going out in the group stages and were **** overall.
Arsenal have always had quality, but they always lacked the mental strength in recent years to mount and maintain a serious push all season. Their mid-season collapse is about as consistent as our early season-collapse.
Depends on whether he can control himself in the big games, he was extremely lucky to stay on the pitch during the CL final. Whilst he'll bring that fight they've been missing, he does have a tendency to take it too far.
True. Although add a good keeper (done) and a no nonsense solid midfielder (maybe done?) and without question they'll be a very, very good team. Will they have the mental strength? Who knows, but if they keep adding big names with great experience to their team it will only be a matter of time - surely?
Good point. I think the occasion went to his head, but once the other players had a word with him he seemed to calm down a bit. On their board they seem a little bemused why they need another midfielder - for me it's exactly the type of player they're missing. Since Viera, they've only had a bunch of pansies (off the top of my head anyway).
LVG loves a LB Rodgers loves a CB Mourinho loves an AM Wenger loves a CM thatll be about their 7th CM to fit into 3 spots then... Good job to keep them all happy
