    To me this is all very interesting...Do you think that Swansea's size of club compared to Newcastle and location, as the first welsh club in the Premier league, will affect the decision?

    I think they just didnt expect Naylor to ever warrant a 1mil price tag and now they are in the premiership with the price that young british players cost here...they are trying to get as much money as possible for him.

    its a bit of an odd one to be honest, i think the fact that the player wants to come here might just give us a bit of sway for maybe a straight swap for routledge?

    Haha i know, if hes ****e its gonna be pretty disappointing. Even though he is just coming as a back up. Hopefully to replace Perch when he leaves for Barca

    Brendan Rodgers live on SSN now saying that media reports stating that Naylor wants away are false and that he is about to sign a new contract with Swansea.

    Looking like we will not be getting Naylor then!

    Something fishy to me about this, Newcastle should report Swansea now, they had a confrontation with Ipswich over loan fees for Priskin (I think it was), just last month.

    I only half caught the early part of Rodgers interview, but the gist I got was that other people have been speaking to the media regarding this move and that Naylor himself has just kept his head down and said nothing. Sort of suggesting that the agent might have been stirring things up.

    Doubt it is the full story, but from seeing Rodgers speak he definitely believes that Naylor is going nowhere. So for me there is not much hope that we will get our man!

    It looks as if he signing a 4 year deal for us , this looks like **** stirred by his agent, I think this is a good move if true, because he is not ready to move on, come back in a year with £5m odd and see then if he is a success ;)

    we only want players at Newcastle who want to come to Tyneside, and be proud to wear that famous balck and white shirt.
    If they don’t want to come they shouldn’t, and Newcastle shouldn’t try to persude them too much either.
