Lovely day...just off for a walk along the sea wall at Yarmouth and then down the River Yar and perhaps a coffee at the End of Line Railway Station.
My bad for drinking too much the night before. Agree with you about Obama, he seems to speak from the heart whenever possible and genuinely care about improving the US. Its amazing to me because watching that circus they call an election process makes it nearly impossible for a genuine person, who isn't controlled by lobbies and private interest groups to get ahead. Just a shame the Republicans were left with enough power to cripple him on most of what wanted to achieve.
Yes it was essentially a Rover 75. Bikes are a new adventure for me altogether. I'll start out with companies that have already earned my trust though; Yamaha (two excellent guitars) and Suzuki (my current run around car).
https://twitter.com/rwsurfergirl Damn I think I have found the most ****ed up homophobe American on Twitter.
Some of those links and people on there are brilliant. They feel like they've been unfairly marginalized and discriminated against by a vocal minority in a supposedly free country. If only the gay people could understand what that feels like and how damaging that can be.
More belters from my new favorite tweeter. I really am glad people like this are out there spouting ****e, because they showcase to the rest of the world what kind of people are supporting things like the tea party and rick santorum/ted cruz. Those were my last ones i swear
Valentino Rossi wins at Assen to increase his lead in the World Championship to 10 points. Could it be a magic 10th World Championship for the GOAT.?
Forgot the Round The Island Yacht Race was on...absolutely fantastic sight. Yachts as far as the eye could see. We got all excited on Yarmouth Pier when the car ferry went out...hoping for a game of skittles....but sadly, no yachtsman was willing to challenge the car ferry with the old rule of the sea: Sail before steam. Scattered like chickens.
Superb race. Done it twice. I actually know one of the ferry captains quite well and they do their very best to keep out of the way, even though their room for manouvere on that route is slim. Ferry captains on the Solent, be they WightLink or Red Funnel, are great people, keenly aware that the leisure sailor has a perfect right to be there. Plus, they use their great skill when the leisure sailor is, to put it tactfully, a bit f*****g hopeless. There are quite a few of them.
I did eventually play it. Seriously, I hadn't put it anywhere near the turntable in probably 20 years. Sounded great. Full of their clever, slightly tongue-in-cheekness, apart from Not in Love, which was meant to be sincere, I believe. And I did hear my quote from the other day, Life is a Minestrone, too.
A woman was telling me she saw a yacht take on a tanker once and lose. Not the nippiest of boats. My neighbour at a previous house was run down by a Red Jet ...his Dad was killed, he lost an arm and a leg, and his son (luckily) just had a few scratches. It was at dusk and there was a discussion about whether he had a light on or not. Think it was settled out of court.
