http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/spor...ws/qpr-players-return-training-tough-9532689? Rule book ready for Rangers new dawn - By Paul Warburton "QPR players return to training on Monday will get a new hard-hitting code of conduct in their lockers. Final ‘I’s are being dotted, and ’T’s crossed on a charter that will cover everything from lateness to training and what they tap out on Twitter. Hoops have vowed to stamp out the kind of behaviour that has besmirched their image at regular intervals over the last three years. Among the guilty in the recent past, loanee Eduardo Vargas refused to play against Crystal Palace on March 14. Loan flop, Mauro Zarate was sent back to West Ham after storming out in protest at failing to make the match-day squad against Liverpool. On Twitter, midfielder Karl Henry and defender Rio Ferdinand were involved in a high-profile confrontation over politics of all things, with pundit Stan Collymore. And QPR legend Rodney Marsh and former captain Joey Barton were likewise involved in a 140 character spat. Matt Phillips was none too popular with fans for posting a photograph alongside his £100,000 Porsche three days before Rs were relegated from the Premier League with a limp 6-0 defeat at Manchester City. Director of football Les Ferdinand is no fan of Twitter, and he and owner Tony Fernandes agreed to disagree over use of the social media outlet. The chairman is something of a devotee. It appears Ferdinand has won the battle and forged the new discipline code expected to be ready by the end of next week."
Can we have one for the fans too like not acting like the world is going to end if we aren't top after six games or deciding JET is **** if he's not scored 20 goals by Christmas?
Joking aside, I think that if this is indicative of the new management style, then I'm all for it. A firm hand on the rudder, an agreed way forward with rules and boundaries-in short a bloody plan rather than players running the roost, and being primadonnas. Good work Chris and Les. I like it.
Rule 1 - You are not SWP. Rule 2 - At no point are you allowed to leave a game at half time and catch a bus home. Rule 3 - If you have something wrong with your knees under no circumstances can this ailment be used to breach your contact and claim the Management wants you out.
You need to add to that that "You must make/fetch your own tea now that the tea-boy has left the club".
Anyone mentioning Blue Peter will be sent to train in Syria wearing an Elton John T-shirt and a feather boa
Try to act like men for a change, and not pampered, overpaid, brats. Learn to be modest and, even if you've had a lousy game, make sure in yourself that you really had done your best for the club. (What am I talking about, must have arrived in cloud cuckoo land for the weekend?).
1) Play like it means something to you. 2) Always keep in mind that it is THE FANS that put you were you are. 3) Play like it means something to you.
But it means nothing to me Oh Vienna! [Never really worked out why Midge was singing to Rigsby's cat]
Players MUST meet standard fitness test or be off loaded to another club, say ........ Benfica. Players MUST be able to changed a Range Rover tyre by oneself or be sent to MLS for training purposes or whatever mascots do. Players MUST NOT be allowed to write a book during the season.............. same applies to the Manager and coaching staff. ........... and just for good measure. All quality players, if any, MUST NOT be allowed to sign for another club in the week running up to Championship kick-off.
