Same for me. Same for Golac at RB. I mentioned that Bertrand could surpass him if he has another 3 seasons like the last one.
Luckily that liability was able to stick a set piece on a sixpence. What was the game he assisted all three games that season? He was always going to struggle in the Prem, but the championship was a good level for him.
Talking of Mark Dennis, I remember an old friend of mine, who was in the Police telling me that they attended several domestic incidents at Mark Dennis's property in Stoneham, the last occasion was when Mrs Dennis smashed all the windows with one of Mark's golf clubs. Apparently she was even more terrifying than her husband
He didn't exactly have a great career after leaving us. I acknowledge he had a "sweet left foot" as they say. Its just that his defensive capabilities were seriously woeful. Even my wife used to hold her head her hands when his name appeared on the team sheet (mind you, she had a soft spot for Harding!). She could never understand why the coaching staff were unable to see how badly out of position he always appeared to be. That always puzzled me to to be honest.
This thread reminds me of the general election. All the talk of a close vote and then the results show a landslide. The silent Bridgies have spoken
We could carry him in the Championship based on the other players in the team, Fox was and is a complete liability, ask Forest fans how good a Championship left back he is
You also think Ramos is average, Xabi Alonso is some incredible defensive God and Charlie Austin/Harry Kane are brilliant, I think we should agree to disagree on opinions of footballers.
I agree that the coaching staff should have picked up on that. Even made me wonder if he did what they wanted. He's gone now, but I always felt he did well for us in the Championship and was unfairly criticised by some fans. There's no doubt the Prem was a step too far for him.
