To think the wife and I have stayed in this hotel 3 times, won't be going back anytime soon http://news.sky.com/story/1508894/tunisia-gunmen-attack-two-tourist-hotels
I know I probably drink a bit too much, but for crying out loud, my 'friends' don't exactly do me any favours. I drove one hour to visit a mate tonight, only for him to tell me upon arrival that he has to cover someones shift for the next three hours, leaving me on my own. Absolute bastard.
I made a decision not to visit any Muslim country a few years back....yes, they can kill you in a Christian country, but your odds are better. I notice the foreign office are even warning about Turkey as they expect a major incident aimed at tourists who are sitting ducks. Tough on the people trying to make a living in such places, but I'm not taking any risks.
We were thinking of going back in November ......not anymore. We were there in March when the attack happened in Tunis, and thought it might just be a one off, Canary Islands it is then.
The wife's just text saying she wants to go out for dinner in Chi tonight, need to try to persuade her to stay in Arundel as its festival of speed weekend and traffic is carnage.
Traffic is dreadful round there at the best of times. I drive regularly from Portsmouth to Worthing and the traffic builds up as you approach Chi (yes, I lived near there once) and eases off once you have passed it.
As I get older I find I need to have fun in ways that don't involve getting drunk and high. A bike seems an affordable way to do this.
I'm taking the wife out to dinner tomorrow night, being the loving husband I am. She'll probably moan and just say it's like being at a Quiz night at the football club with a curry.
Same-sex marriage declared legal by the Supreme Court for all states in the USA. That's Obamacare and same-sex marriage they've upheld in the last few days. They should ban guns tomorrow too just for a laugh...!
Mrs Jasper and Me just got back from a week's holiday here - http://www.grove-cottages.co.uk/Mill Cottage/ Very peaceful
Plus a major ruling on housing discrimination, and various states are finally taking the first steps toward unwinding the neo-Confederate ethos they've nurtured since, well, the neo- wasn't needed. There aren't many good weeks in American news and politics; this has been one.
Anyone listened to the Radio series Cabin Pressure ?> Mrs Jasper bought the CD set and asked me to at least give it a try on our holiday . I did and I think it's BRILLIANT !
