Sack the scouts There are some fcking good deals being done on the continent, particularly in Italy. If our scouts and Woodward cannot find, match or better those...with the whole of last season to prep them, then they are useless.
I remember reading an article about the Depay signing, at the end of it there was a claim that two more players were already waiting to sign at the beginning of July. Pretty sure it was on the United website
Saints ACCEPT £25m Man Utd bid for Schneiderlin (if its believed to be true) http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...purs-Morgan-Schneiderlin-Transfer-News-Gossip
I must admit that I haven't seen many of his matches. I just hope he is not one of those Saints players who have had one good season and then fade (some lovely examples for the RS come to mind!). Is he better than who we already have?
I blame that Scottish twat on Sky Sports. Over the last few years the media have whipped up a storm of gossip, rumour, educated guesswork and pure lies about potential signings. The more controversial the story, or unlikely the signing/size of the transfer fee then the more papers sold. It used to be that there really was a closed season in which players, agents and clubs focussed on transfers, but not any more. Right now there are top players and agents in South America as well as the U21's - deals are in the pipeline but it is increasingly hard for managers/Chief Execs to pin down the people involved to make the deal happen. Add to that the likes of super agent Mendes, who in my view is a toxic ar**, and things become even more complicated. For example, he is Maureen's agent, so it beggars belief that he doesn't get drip fed information about if and when we or other clubs make an enquiry about one of Mendes players. That clearly gives the Gangster Chavs a head start in the market. The whole De Gea/Falcao saga was another example of his influence in the game ie - keep Falcao and De Gea will renew his contract - we didn't, so De Gea is seemingly off. That same influence goes a long way to explain the inexplicable - why else would Chelsea (if true) take on Falcao, when with the gangster's billions they have the pick of the marketplace. The Copa thing will soon be over, same with the U21's and the window opens on 1st July and I think we should reserve judgement on Woodward & Co until the end of the window.
Debatable as to whether he is or not. Carrick and Herrera are pretty decent players, both would walk into most premier league sides. Schneiderlin will likely share the DM role with Carrick.
He's a cut above, and has been one of the Prem's top DMs for three seasons now. True pro; lovely new girlfriend; France international; king of the interceptions, tackles, and cross-field pings. What more could you want? Whoever gets him is a very lucky team indeed.
Aye. It seems that woodward has learnt from his early tribulations. Thank goodness. I blamed him for the early shambles with Moyes. He was absolutely clueless and he thought he was going to save a few millions here and there by playing clever when he should have worked out that United always pay a premium when they come calling.
She's not from Madrid is she?? This looks a good signing if it happens. It's a toss up between him and Schweinsteiger for me, I think I'd rather Schweinsteiger for his experience of Europe, winning in Europe, winning generally and being part of a huge club with unbearable pressure half the time. Schneiderlin though is the younger man who can hopefully get to grip with all those things. Pro's and Con's to both, I'd be delighted with either.
I think if Real don't offer what we want for De Gea he will signed a new contract to keep him happy at the club for one more season then will will sell him to Madrid for £40 million next season
RM find themselves in a difficult position. If, as has been rumoured, De Gea has insisted on Casillas moving on before he will sign for them then they have a dilemma as their stand in keeper Navas is out with an achillies injury. How long he takes to recover will be key. At the moment it seems he will not require surgery, but these things change. Losing Casillas and only having De Gea will leave RM potentially vulnerable at the start of La Liga.
Real Madrid are likely to be banned from registering players soon. If they dont sign de gea this summer then they wont for a while, if ever.
Watched much football over the years? Or just wait for the celebrations at the end like most of the mob. **** me, the guys been here since 08 and been getting better every season, the last three to an extent there's not many better DM's around.
