I tend to agree but then we don't want to buy players and day they will be in the team straight away incase they kick off like Dyer did. Trouble is so many do move for the money and the chance in our case to be near London..
After Bournemouth got promoted, some of the media here commented that Pitman was going to be the second Jerseyman to play in the PL, and the first Channel Islander not to play for Soton in the PL.
16,000 messages in 3 years ..that's around 16 per day , everyday ... Incredible. Notice an impressive tally of likes . How have you achieved this amazing feat ? Fingers crossed , after 1st July we will see a few good signings ..still hoping for at least 3 more experienced players in their prime . Would the squad that won promotion have had any chance of survival with no reinforcements ? Think forwards are definitely strong enough . Although being greedy , would like to see another proven goal scorer added .
Only a few days before the transfer window opens and these are the players linked to or rumoured to ve moving away from Watford in the last two weeks... Not new, but further speculation. http://ghanasoccernet.com/udinese-star-agyemang-badu-arrives-in-england-amid-watford-rumours/?
This is an interesting piece regarding our promotion and comparisons to the Leicester and Burnley models for player recruitment. I think the word naive is being thrown around a bit too much, as the writer patently does not understand Watford or the Pozzo's recruitment strategy. http://www.footballfancast.com/prem...ing-intent-or-naivety-in-signing-this-striker?
The Sun is catching up slowly, they have today (Friday June 26) come up with the fact we are favourite to sign Joey Barton.
I had a quick look at the relegation odds yesterday and all bookies have us as bottom, most likely to go down etc. I think we were the only team odds on to go down. I just don't get how they are so clearly making the difference between ours and Bournemouth's chances of survival at this stage?!
If Bournemouth are not odds on that's definitely worth a bet. I think everyone's lack of confidence in our chances against the others is predominantly because we have a new manager.
Also, surely the bookies should've learned by now that a new manager doesn't stop the progress of the mighty Hornets!
Bournemouth have signed i think about 5 players to our 2 .I am right in thinking they took 4 points off us . Our manager is new to the players and the league and so is most of his backroom staff . Now you and i know its our owners cunning plan, to to back us to stay up with the playing staff budget instead of bringing in new players
But he still has no Premier League experience which must count against him; like Slaven Bilic, Eddie Howe and Alex Neil, but it is no problem for them so far.
