Haha I wish. I am becoming a gym instructor and will be doing courses to become a Personal Trainer.

 

Got Uni results: five 2:2s, two 2:1s and a first!

 

Just enrolled at college. 3 more years at this dead end job.

Love Majorca. Those little straw umbrellas are about the sweetest but silliest sun shades you can get. They give you about 3 foot of protection...alright if you plan to stand all day

More or less what my boy said recently ......... "I shall have to work until I'm 70+ to get a pension ....." - despite what some people think, I DO feel sorry for the youngsters these days .......... as I go off to buy a nice car

 

shouldn't have it too bad. if I work my arse off now, I should be able to retire a little early. I will be inheriting sideways as I have some aunts who don't have children. I wont be relying on any money from them though. I want to make my own way, that'll just be a bonus.

 

It's not working till 70 that is the bugger....people are doing that now voluntarily because they are fitter longer. It is the inability to reduce your hours...as most people at 65 would choose to do. I took my small private pensions at 62 in order to cut my hours. I then fell ill and decided I didn't want to waste my life at work, so chose to retire. Can't imagine working till 70 if you are a builder or road layer. The secret....get a job you love and it will never feel like work.

 

Well said - my kids have both said they'd rather I enjoyed my money and didn't leave them anything, which is refreshing. I shall not get much from my mother as care costs are eating her money up but I'd rather she was safe and secure than have anything from her.
And work to a purpose, Jen - good on you. It'll be fine - I just hope I stay fit and well enough to enjoy it!!

 

Just found out that BT want me to start paying £5/mth for BT Sport which has been free up till now. I understand why as they have paid a lot for European football, but shan't bother as I don't watch many European matches. That fiver will be the thin edge of the wedge.

 

You may change your mind when Saints are on BT.

 

But they won't always show our game.

 

Surely they will? Spurs, Liverpool and Everton all got shown live last season. I know that was ITV but surely they'll have the EL on both channels?
