Annoying as I think he is our best player, but not really surprised. Just further proof about how virtually impossible it is to break the standard top 6 on a regular basis it is Biggest problem for Clyne is that he will now find it ridiculously hard to move from Liverpool to an actual top 4 team as they rarely sell players to their "rivals", and if they do it is for ridiculous money (see torres and probably sterling)
Pre XMas Clyne was very good but post Xmas Clyne was a bit of a let down in comparison January probably saw him and his then agent start to look at a new club and that took his mind of the job
Lovren went off towards the end of 2013/14 as he reset his standard for playing at Liverpool. And Morgan when he thought he was off. Think what we could achieve if our team could maintain their concentration for a whole season.
I agree. Good player and would have been pleased to keep him (mainly because it would suggest that teams couldn't just cherry pick us), but I'm not distraught as I would have been last season. Toby on the other hand
One typo I haven't seen in years is brought rather than the correct bought. As in "he brought something off ebay", when clearly it should have been bought. Haven't heard it for years either. It used to make me cringe when people used to say it as well. It made me wonder how a person could have got to an adult age without correcting such an obvious error. After all, people are always buying things. Even the worst off. That said, my ignorance in spelling the word led [the past tense of lead] as lead was far longer than it should have been. I think I got stuck with an association with read, [read a book] with its past tense spelt read [exactly the same only said differently]. Anyway, the richness of the English language was eventually sorted out in my head. Upto two weeks ago I was still incorrectly spelling Adidas with three D's though, as in Addidas. Don't know why I've persisted with that, at all. I've learned at last. Off-topic I know, but got it back to sport, at least. Carry on.
Lit instead of lighted has always confused me....I try not to mention fires in letters and e-mails now
Is a shame that our mainly English, homegrown nucleus has been decimated (predominantly by Liverpool, who have so far completely wasted their promise), and we are populated currently by foreign players. FFS why can't Brenda just hurry up and get royally sacked! Liverpool are still nowhere near my league of hate for Spurs, though.
Good point - I hope this player sale doesn't unsettle him, re: our ambition and plans for the future. I'm sure he trusts Koe, though.
