I think we all understand the postion of the wobby that want to pass on the news but not let other clubs try and out bid us . So they only run storys on deals that are almost done .
I watched about twenty minutes before getting totally bored by it and so turned it off. I wonder how many problems are being created by the large clubs signing the young players on, then leaving them to rot because they have little chance of making it into the first team. As an example Chalobah looked like a very good player in the making when he was with us, but he is now on a huge contract and doesn't seem to have progressed very much, if at all. It doesn't matter to Chelsea that they are paying him over the odds, but how often do they try him out with the undoubted talent they have who could help him become a better player?
In the Telegraph this morning henry Winter was saying that some of these lads need to get off the benches and go and join foreign teams, even if on loan to get a bit more football and life experience. All very good in theory but not sure how realistic it is.
Must be the first time a Watford Luton derby has been compared to the Old Firm! http://www.luton-dunstable.co.uk/Ne...Donnell-puts/story-26773412-detail/story.html
"..... L*t*n is a sleeping giant" The old rivalry is fierce and bitter and with good reason but at least without the ignorance and hypocrisy of sectarianism.
Oh I dunno Fez. Supporting Luton is such an absurd and inexplicable hobby you could almost say it is a sect in utself
An interesting article here showing that the Pozzo empire is quite complex. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/06/2...ures-relationship-is-good-with-watford-back/?
A good read that. Seems silly that the Pozzo's would consider selling the club having invested heavily in the stadium and the training ground but then there's always the rumours. Good to see that they rewarded their interim manager, he pulled off something of a footballing miracle in keeping Granada up from an almost impossible position. The attitude bodes well for us.
Ladies into the semi finals after a hard fought win against the hosts. Well done to them - maybe go all the way. The manager seems to be tactically very good and after a slow start the players are playing as one.
Birkir Bjarnason at Pescara is being talked to by Torino. There is a rumour he was going to Leeds United. We could use him still in a central midfield or attacking left wing role and bes thing he would cost no money as his contract is finished. http://fotbolti.net/fullStory.php?id=189707
Leicester City sack Pearson.. For real this time! Never really got on it seems and if course Pearson's son got sacked himself.
I see Southampton have cut their losses on Dani Osvaldo. Another thoroughly likable chap so it would seem....
England ladies out after a last minute OG. Very unlucky and such a cruel way to lose.. Disciplined and solid performance right till the end. (the penalties did kind of even themselves out though I thought) Even worse we've now probably got to get beaten by the Germans in the 3rd/4th play-off..
