It's a french problem and other member states in europe,
If they and all other EEC members had kept up there border controls the problem would not be on our doorstep.
So as far as i'm concerned it's not uk's problem.
It is cheaper to pick these so called illegal/asylum seekers up and repatriate(fly) them back to there own countries than set up legal camps house them feed them etc

I would leave a large lorry there overnight, open, and the next day close the back, turn around and take the lorry full of these people to somewhere like Romania or Bulgaria and leave them all there.

The haulage companies and the drivers won't like it because of the delays It would cause, but until this is sorted, put every single lorry through the Co2 / heartbeat/sniffer dog check - show that there is no way of getting lucky and so not worth trying.

The voice of reason and cheers mate. I'd personally round them all up, put them in a huge gondola with a huge sign saying 'return to sender, address unknown' with instructions on how to make a proper ****ing boat that only floats South..<ok>

Oh and blasting, highway to hell AC/DC

The Aussies have the right idea.

They've announced to the world that no one entering illegally will ever be allowed to stay. Soon as they're caught, they're deported. No questions, no appeals. They're out. They're honest and hardline.

They actively patrol their waters and any ships found close to their borders are turned round and escorted back where they came from. Any that get through end up in camps on remote islands.

Aussie Blackcat can probably give more details. They don't **** around, the Aussies. We could learn a lot from them. We need to tell the French firmly, it's your problem, they're not coming here, you deal with it, and stop pandering to the EU.

it's really out of control, and you really have to question the French authorities as to how easy these people are gaining access to these areas.

Surely all of these are illegal immigrants in France. They should be arrested and deported by the French. Even Clouseau should be able to spot them.

That's exactly what I was just thinking. If they weren't illegal in France, would they not be French, and therefore able to have ligit movement to us instead of jumping in lorries

You spotted the bleeding obvious mate.

They want to come here and the french just want to make it our problem instead of growing a pair and stop them getting to Calais in the first place.

I'm not often fair to the French but I sympathise with them in this case.

They have borders with Italy, Spain, Germany etc etc etc .......... many migrants use these countries to head for the UK and Calais is the obvious target.

If the UK had tougher border controls, at Dover & Folkstone, the migrants wouldn't see Calais as such a convenient stepping stone.

Calais is a disaster zone and it's understandable why the French want these migrants to leave by whatever means possible.

If these thousands of migrants were hanging around the streets of Sunderland I think we'd feel the same.

I don't disagree with a word you're saying Smug but these guys are managing to travel 780 miles from the south of France to Calais quite easily. Where are the controls? Okay, one or two might get there, but thousands?

The French know they're heading this way and they dont seem to make a concerted attempt to stop them.

They then build up in numbers at Calais, and then its suddenly our problem.

I don't know what the answer is mate, but trying to solve it at the final hurdle just seems a little too late in the day for everyone, the French, us, and the refugees.

The problem is that everyone wants them out and don't care in which direction.

They come through Germany, Belgium, Spain etc and there are thousands of routes.

The few thousand, who arrive in Calais, are a tiny fraction of the amount who attempt to reach it.

Let them in, every single one of them straight to military training, feed them an water them until they are fully trained then get each and every one of them on a Herc straight to Syria and Iraq to help kill ISIS.

If they refuse, assume they are terrorists and shoot them in the face without question.
