And here in lies the problem, people confusing history with trophies won.

Unless you actually witnessed it, trophies are merely numbers in a book. Just think it's funny people brag about all these trophies won when a large proportion were before we were even born.

A significant proportion of Liverpool fans on here may not have even witnessed (or at least remember) Liverpool winning a title but will quickly brag about 18 titles. Strikes me as a little odd.

 

so a more realistic username for you should be "over 11 years of history" as you won **** all pre 2004 (pre Roman)

I think the bigger questions are :

1. Why is HIAG constantly waving his Chelsea blue pom poms ?
2. Is it because he knows Spurs lag way behind Arsenal, so he's shamelessly giving it the big un' for the chavs ?
3. Is it because his Power Shift thread came back to haunt him, so he's ditched it in favour of Chelsea blue.
4. He's a closet Chav ?

 

I think respecting people who lost their lives in a terrible conflict and bragging about trophies won 80 years ago are slightly different things.

 

Again stop confusing history with trophies. People can respect history but its somewhat laughable to brag about trophies won so long ago. I've never bragged to anyone about winning the world cup that was won 15 years before I was even born. I respect the achievement and it's nice to know we had a good side once, that's about it.

History means nothing unless it is trophy laden?
The same Arsenal fans that say this are the same ones who will tell you Wenger is awesome because he managed to keep Arsenal in the top 4 for 10 years on a small budget, despite winning 0 trophies. So basically between the years of 2004 and 2014, Arsenal didn't exist, no history.....
