Yes. When I saw the news, my first thought was "They got it right. I didn't see that ****er coming. Just like to good old days". My mate hadn't even mentioned it.

  3. Maybe the free's were the squad builders (bar Milner obviously) and now we'll see the club by some more quality additions to join Firmino and Milner.

  5. Milner and Hendo doing the running, Can sat holding, Flanno and Moreno providing the width with Coutinho and Firmino supporting Ings up top. Sakho, Skrtel and Migs behind them all. Sounds lovely to me.

Not too bad - unfortunately Milner and Hendo won't provide much else other than running, Flanno is crippled, and Skrtel is a hazardous.

Apart from that - I'm happy! Get Kovacic and Clyne in and I'll cream my pants.

Made up with this. Signed one of the hottest prospects available. Who cares how he'll fit in, he'll replace someone. Will do Coutinho the world of good too.

It's going to help us sign whoever else we're after too.

He will share the burden of creating chances for the team - something that Lallana should have done.

Lot of money for this bloke really, hella lot of money. Our second most expensive player after donkeylocks. Don't see how his record warrants such a big fee. But this is us all over these days, paying way way over the odds for the merch on offer.

As usual if he works out it'll be bargain of the decade as happens with our strategy sometimes, if he don't it's another ****ing epic fail to add to the rest

Initial fee is £22m with add ons.

For one of the best performing players across major leagues over past 2 years, I'd say it;s a cracking deal, similar to Torres and Suarez.

13/14 season was his breakthrough season which was immense. Last season wasn't as good but still incredible - brilliant on and off the ball but is an incredibly hard worker as well. Not many attackers can match his defensive stats.

  11. Its only the second biggest fee if he is successful though #addons

Absolutely chuffed with this! Have a friend who is a Hoffenheim fan (I know, there aren't many!) and he's properly upset to be losing him. Don't know if that says too much but still.

Also, whoever made this deserves knighthood -

Manc BBC, report £29m but fail to mention that £7m of that is performance and success based. When Citeh sign Sterling they'll make sure to mention that at least £5m is addons

This looks like my prediction and fear about overpaying because of Sterling windfall is coming true. I hope I will be proved wrong but this guy was being touted for £15-18m. Then we come along and we pay £25m rising to £29m. This sounds very familiar??.

If we didn't have the prospect of the Sterling millions, would they have asked for so much for him? It is not as if there was a scramble amongst the top clubs for him.

He could be make or break for Rodgers. If he fails Rodgers will be out of the door by December.
