Nope, he's not signed anything yet. Contract on the table which agents seem happy with, but Skrtel's away on holiday and hasn't signed yet.
http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/martin-skrtel-agrees-new-liverpool-9479584 I'm pretty sure a few close journos said he was signing a new contract but strange there has been nothing official.\ Hopefully we do get rid of him - I'd sooner play Wisdom or Ilori, and give them a chance.
If lfc end up Mingolet Clyne skertl sahko Digne Milner Can henderson Firmino Bacca coutinho With bogdan, wisdom, lovern, moreno, allen, sturridge, lallana, ibe, ings as our bench. You whiners better pony up with the fan boyish shapish. I doubt we are back in for can. Not sure if Digne is just agent talk but in general we'd have done a decent summers work there I asked for full backs before last season ended... and a striker or two. If we did do this it's be a big change.
Not bad. Would rather replace Skrtel with someone who can defend, sign a DM and Can can replace either Milner or Hendo.
I remember on few media outlet claiming was close to signing but nothing official was ever confirmed.
So half a new team while spending 100m to recruit them? Can't see it happening. I think firmino and a midfielder and possibly a full back will be in but that's it. No chance signing 2 full backs and can't see us spending 20m on Bacca if we sign firmy even though they can play different positions.
Exactly, can't see it happening twice on the row. Only way can see it happening is if we've agreed to sell sterling for 40+ mil and wanted to get Firmino tied up before it went through. If we manage to sell the rest of the dead wood forwards then possibly see us spending that amount but I'm not sure. By all accounts fsg weren't going to invest as much after last year... But who knows
I really thought you bought for all the right positions last year, I expected you to have a squad strong enough to compete in all competitions. I still think Rodgers let the players down with his team selections and tactics/systems, if he had used the players correctly you would have been much better.
I'm still optimistic about last summers signings coming good, apart from Balo & Lambert who I don't see a future for unfortunately I think not having a CF that could replace sturridge is where it all went wrong. After all that, 3/4 weeks before season started we were near enough neck and neck with you guys for 4th place. Borini should have played up front last year instead of Sterling and although he might not have scored lots of goals, he would fit the system much better allowing the rest of the team to carry on playing natural game. I honestly do think that Firmino, Illarramendi & potentially a new FB would give us a great chance of top 4. A couple of big signings really do make a difference, even if they aren't scoring 20 goals, they just help boost confidence breed throughout the rest of the squad and bring out the best of others.
Think you mean ended but I get your point The treatment of Borini was ridicules and could not be anything more than Brendan making a point to the detriment of the team. Lambert was only ever meant to be a plan "B" for the last 20 mins if you needed to bombard the opposition goal, Balo could have been used much better. The only two I would question are Lovren (who is better than he showed) and Moreno (who is a decent player but no full back).
Roberto Firmino: Liverpool agree £29m deal for Brazil striker By Ben Smith BBC Sport Liverpool have agreed a deal in principle to sign Brazil and Hoffenheim forward Roberto Firmino for £29m. The 23-year-old, who is currently playing for his country in the Copa America in Chile, would need to be granted a work permit. Reds chief executive Ian Ayre is in Chile for talks with a view to a five-year deal at the Premier League club. Firmino is understood to have agreed terms and is set to become Liverpool's second most expensive signing. Liverpool are also pursuing Rondon, who plays for Zenit St Petersburg and represents Venezuela at international level. Rondon, who would cost £15m, scored 20 times last season as Zenit won the Russian title. please log in to view this image <img class="widge-figure__image auto-size__target" src="http://e1.365dm.com/15/06/16-9/20/rondon-venezuela-salomon_3315173.jpg?20150614234711" alt="Salomon Rondon: Currently plays for Zenit St Petersburg"> Salomon Rondon: Currently plays for Zenit St Petersburg Liverpool have also been linked in the media with Monaco centre-back Aymen Abdennour but Sky Sports News HQ has been told they do not intend to make a move for the player. Liverpool have recently signed Burnley striker Danny Ings, while goalkeeper Adam Bogdan, defender Joe Gomez and midfielder James Milner have also been brought in. The Reds have so far resisted two offers from Man City for England forward Raheem Sterling. Firmino, who has scored 49 times in 153 appearances for Hoffenheim, was on target for Brazil in their 2-1 Copa America victory over Venezuela on Sunday. In the absence of Neymar, who has been suspended for the rest of the tournament, Firmino and Philippe Coutinho, who is already a Liverpool player, are set to start again in Saturday's quarter final against Paraguay http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33250535 Liverpool ‘cleared to complete Iker Casillas transfer’ please log in to view this image Casillas has reportedly been told he can leave Real Madrid (Picture: Getty) Liverpool are clear to sign Iker Casillas, after manager Rafael Benitez is believed to have told him he has no future at Real Madrid. With Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea looking set for a move to the Bernabeu, it appears there is no place for World Cup winner Casillas at Madrid. Former Reds boss Benitez, who took over the reigns at Real earlier this month, has told Casillas he is not part of his plans, according to Spanish TV station El Chiringuito. This would open the door for the Reds, who are reportedly eyeing a transfer offer for the Spanish legend. Despite Simon Mignolet improving after an extremely disappointing start to last season, Brendan Rodgers still appears to be monitoring Casillas’ situation. http://metro.co.uk/2015/06/23/liverpool-cleared-to-complete-iker-casillas-transfer-5260654/#ixzz3dx7MMd00 Liverpool are also pursuing Rondon, who plays for Zenit St Petersburg and represents Venezuela at international level. Re 100 Mil. 50 for sterling right off the bat is expected. After this deal is completed I expect us to close the other one shortly with city. 4mil for the useless aspas 4 Mil for Coates Hopefully 6-8 Mil on borini Maybe we can get 10 mil out of balotelli maybe we won't. That's somewhere like 75mil right there Now ok there's lots of unknowns in this sterling deal. But..... We will see. I'd agree clyne and Digne are unlikely and we can't say if agents are using us etc. We did hear the 3 names we wrre in talks with though and Bacca is one of them so we will see.

It does not necessarily represent the position of Liverpool Football Club. please log in to view this image Liverpool have agreed to pay Southampton’s asking price to finally sign Nathaniel Clyne, according to reports. Clyne, who looks certain to leave Southampton this summer, has already been subject of one £10million offer from Liverpool. That was rejected, with the Saints holding out for £15m, and despite initially dragging their heels on paying that, reports say the Reds are now set to pay the money to bring Clyne to Anfield. Southampton have already secured a replacement in Sporting Lisbon star Cedric Soares, which should help this deal happen quickly. Source: Metro
i read that yesterday but it was the metro so I'm waiting for the local sothampton rags to report for us.
